'Come As You Really Are': A joyful celebration of UK hobbies featuring 4,000 My Little Ponies

4,000 My Little Ponies, a giant Transformer, miniature nail art sculptures and more make up a London exhibition dedicated to UK hobbies.

00:00So it's an incredibly vulnerable thing that people are doing, something that they really

00:21care about and speaks very deeply about who they are.

00:25And so I'm hugely honoured that they've entrusted us, me and the Artangel team, to look after

00:32their stuff and to display it and to show it off in this way.

00:42At first I thought they wanted about five or six, so I sent over a picture of some.

00:46And they said no, can we have more, so I sent over about fourteen.

00:50And then they actually phoned me and said, we're going to need more, and I was like,

00:54OK, how many do you need? We want them all. I was like, all of them? OK, how am I going

00:59to get 4,000 of my little ponies down from Suffolk to Croydon? But they sent couriers

01:06and helped me pack them up.

01:13The one thing I love about hobbies is there's overlap. So there's some miniatures over there,

01:17I paint miniatures at home, there's some nail art upstairs, and sometimes I have to do that

01:23for a costume. So I've been chatting to the other people here, and we've actually been

01:27sharing ideas, and I think we've kind of started branching into each other's hobby a little bit.
