00:08is not mentioned in the Quran

00:12but according to several narrations,
00:14the scholar mentioned in
00:16Surah Kahf verse number 65
00:18refers to
00:20Hazrat Khidr.
00:24According to this verse,
00:26Hazrat Khidr is a special servant of Allah.
00:28His special mercy
00:30was with him.
00:32And he was the
00:34owner of the knowledge of Ladunni.
00:36It is found in some narrations
00:38that he was a prophet of Allah
00:40and was the
00:42descendant of Hazrat Nuh.
00:44His
00:46lineage has been written as
00:48Talia bin Malkan
00:50bin Abir bin Al-Faqshad
00:52bin Sam bin Nuh
00:54peace be upon them.
00:56His
00:58village name was Talia bin Malkan
01:00and Khidr was his title.
01:02Because Khidr means
01:04green.
01:06Wherever he kept his feet blessed,
01:08due to the blessing of the
01:10feet of the Prophet,
01:12that land became green and
01:14fertile.
01:16According to several narrations,
01:18Hazrat Khidr is still alive
01:20and will remain alive
01:22until the Day of Judgment.
01:24He was one of the
01:26followers of Zulqarnain.
01:28One day the Prophet
01:30said to his companions,
01:32Do you
01:34want me to narrate
01:36an incident of
01:38Hazrat Khidr in front of you?
01:40The companions said,
01:42Yes, O Messenger of Allah.
01:44The Prophet said,
01:46One day
01:48Hazrat Khidr was passing
01:50through a market of the
01:52Prophet's house.
01:54Suddenly a beggar
01:56came to him who
01:58knew him.
02:00He asked
02:02for help from
02:04the Prophet.
02:06Hazrat Khidr said,
02:08I believe in God,
02:10but at this time
02:12I have nothing
02:14to give you.
02:16The beggar said,
02:18I am seeing the
02:20Prophet,
02:22so I ask you
02:24to help me.
02:26Hazrat Khidr said,
02:28You have
02:30promised me
02:32a great thing.
02:34I have nothing,
02:36but the great thing
02:38you have promised
02:40cannot be left.
02:42You sell me
02:44as a slave in this market
02:46and fulfill your
02:48needs with me.
02:50The beggar said,
02:52Is it right
02:54to do such a thing?
02:56Hazrat Khidr said,
02:58I am saying
03:00the right thing.
03:02You have promised me
03:04that great thing.
03:06I can never do
03:08such a thing.
03:10You sell me
03:12in the market.
03:14The beggar gave
03:16Hazrat Khidr
03:18four hundred dirhams
03:20to a merchant.
03:22He took the money
03:24and left.
03:26Hazrat Khidr
03:28stayed with his master
03:30for a while,
03:32but he saw
03:34that his master
03:36did not do any work
03:38for him.
03:40One day he said
03:42to his master,
03:44I do not
03:46want to
03:48trouble you
03:50because you
03:52are old.
03:54Hazrat Khidr said,
03:56No,
03:58it is not difficult
04:00for me to work.
04:02The merchant showed him
04:04a stone lying
04:06in a corner of the house.
04:08It was so big that
04:10it took six people
04:12who worked all day
04:14to pick it up and
04:16take it out.
04:18He said,
04:20pick up this stone
04:22and take it out of the house.
04:24Hazrat Khidr
04:26picked up the stone
04:28and threw it out of the house
04:30alone.
04:32The merchant said,
04:34Well done,
04:36you have done a great
04:38job.
04:40This is not
04:42natural.
04:44After a while,
04:46the merchant decided
04:48to go on a journey.
04:50He said to
04:52Hazrat Khidr,
04:54I have found you
04:56trustworthy.
04:58Therefore,
05:00I am leaving you
05:02in my house.
05:04Until I come back,
05:06you become a good
05:08servant.
05:10Hazrat Khidr said,
05:12There is no trouble.
05:14I will do
05:16whatever you say.
05:18The merchant said,
05:20Prepare some bricks
05:22until I return.
05:24The merchant set off
05:26on a journey.
05:28After a while,
05:30when he returned,
05:32he saw that
05:34Hazrat Khidr had
05:36said to Hazrat Khidr,
05:38I swear by God
05:40that you tell me
05:42who you are
05:44and what your work is.
05:46Hazrat Khidr said,
05:48You swore
05:50me to God
05:52and the same God
05:54has kept me alive
05:56on my duty.
05:58You must have heard my name.
06:00I am Khidr.
06:02A faqir asked me for help.
06:04At that time,
06:06I did not have anything
06:08that I could give him.
06:10He swore me
06:12by God
06:14therefore,
06:16I gave myself to his
06:18servitude.
06:20He sold me to you
06:22and took the money
06:24and left.
06:26You must understand this
06:28that if a person
06:30swears by God
06:32and fulfills
06:34any need
06:36and he can fulfill it
06:38but does not,
06:40then the Day of Judgment
06:42will be known
06:44that there will be
06:46no flesh and blood
06:48on his face,
06:50only bones
06:52whose ringing
06:54voice will
06:56reach the ears.
06:58The merchant
07:00said,
07:02No problem.
07:04You have been kind
07:06to me.
07:08The merchant said,
07:10My parents,
07:12you are a sacrifice
07:14to Allah.
07:16You can do
07:18whatever you want
07:20with me and my family.
07:22We are at your disposal.
07:24If you want,
07:26I will set you free.
07:28The merchant said,
07:30I like it
07:32that you set me free
07:34so that I can be busy
07:36in the worship of God.
07:38The merchant,
07:40very sorry,
07:42happily set him free.
07:44Hazrat Khidr said,
07:46We are grateful to God
07:48who has given me
07:50the ability to serve
07:52and has saved me
07:54from these
07:56sins.
