00:00A century after the first Olympics in Paris, about 10,500 athletes from 206 countries are
00:11expected in the French capital for the 2024 Summer Games and Paralympic Games.
00:17The opening ceremony will take place on the Seine River.
00:20The Stade de France in the city's north will host the showpiece athletic events.
00:25One of the advantages of the Paris 2024 Games is that very few sporting sites have to be

00:31The Aquatic Centre will host diving, among other sports, and the venue for badminton

00:37At Pont Alexandre III, open water swimming will take place in the Seine, near cycling

00:53Roland Garros, the venue for the French Open, will host tennis as well as boxing.
