00:00:13evening. Happy Sunday evening. It's quite late. It's like 11pm. Yeah. I took an episode.
00:00:22Now, martial arts, let's see. Let's do blocking. Okay. In martial arts, blocking, okay? Okay?
00:00:52Blocking, okay? Yeah. Against, punching and hitting, okay? Blocking, defense. Okay, good.
00:00:58Five minutes break, please. Thank you. Good exercise, man.

00:05:06We're fine. So I took a nap and woke up and went to Walmart, shopping and yeah, cheers.
00:05:17Cheers. Oh, coconut juice, fantastic. And I tried to buy some kayak boat, small boat, right?
00:05:34The last time I did kayaking, it was when I was in US Army in Fort Hood, Texas. Okay, they have nice
00:05:43lake there in Belton. And yeah, we did kayaking there. Also, I got boating license too. Yeah.
00:05:58American native friend in US Army and me, we took written exam and also practical exam to drive a
00:06:08small ship boat, boating license. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So Walmart kayak is too big. Okay. So I went to
00:06:18Fred Meyers. They have a kayak for child, children, smaller one. Yeah, no problem. Okay. Yeah.
00:06:26It was still float, even if I'm adult. Yeah. Because that's small size and kayak like this big and it cost me
00:06:36like $200. Okay. It was worth. Next weekend, I do some kayaking. Okay. Yeah. Cheers. Yeah.
00:06:47You know, Wasilla Lake. Yeah. It's good exercise. It's fun. Yeah. And it fits inside of my SUV.

00:07:23And then I present to you the very first song I wrote back when I was in Los Angeles. I composed that song for therapy for my
00:07:33typhobia movie, but I did not use it. I also played guitar back then. A little bit. Okay. So it's like guitar song, but guitar is
00:07:43just too difficult. Okay. Yeah. I put some lyrics in there too, but I forgot the lyrics. Okay. We put some lyrics in that tune.
00:07:53Okay. Melody. The very first song I wrote. Okay. Yeah. Five minutes break. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. Sure. Let there be music.
00:08:02Yeah. Mathematics. Maybe tomorrow. We need to take a break from mathematics. Okay. We did a lot. So, well, very cool.

00:20:34Good evening.
00:20:36Welcome to Friday night on Instagram live edition express.
00:20:39I'm wide awake.
00:20:40Welcome.
00:20:41Yeah.
00:20:42Yeah.
00:20:43Yeah, good evening. It's kind of late, huh? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, welcome.
00:20:55Okay. Welcome, friends. Yeah. Welcome.
00:21:18Look, I have to let you go. Don't say those bad things, okay?
00:21:25Because if you say that one more time, yeah, I will have to block you.
00:21:29Okay? And this time, I will give you a bit of warning, okay?
00:21:35Yeah. Yeah, welcome. Welcome. Yeah. Welcome. Yeah.
00:21:43Yeah. Good evening. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
00:22:05Yeah. Very cool. Yeah. Mm-hmm.
00:22:21What do you mean? No, I have to let you go too, okay?
00:22:25That's not age appropriate, okay? Yeah.
00:22:32Okay? Yeah.
00:22:37Yeah.
00:22:42Okay.
00:23:01Let me grab some cranberry vodka over there.
00:23:14Oh, yeah.
00:23:18So it's kind of a strange hour, late night. It's almost midnight, right?
00:23:22So that's where the demons come.
00:23:28Yeah, some guys in the Internet, like, they said some pizza-sorting stuff,
00:23:36and we don't allow that here, so yeah.
00:23:42Yeah. Cheers. Yep.
00:23:48Ah, nice. Cranberry vodka.
00:23:56Yeah.
00:24:02Mm-hmm.
00:24:06Yeah, so I took a bath, so that's why I look very clean and young.
00:24:11It's like skin rejuvenation, like getting all the kind of old skin,
00:24:19scrap it away with my fingernails.
00:24:26Yeah.
00:24:30Aha.
00:24:39So what kind of lyrics would we put on that tune?
00:24:44Okay, the very first song I wrote.
00:25:15Da da da da da da da da da.
00:25:33It's a nice tune. It's original.
00:25:35I wrote that melody, also lyrics, too, like when I was in Los Angeles.
00:25:41That was like, so I'm 46, so it was like 20 years ago.
00:25:51Yeah, welcome. Yeah.
00:25:57Yeah, but I forgot the lyrics, so I should put some lyrics in that tune.
00:26:03Maybe all alone in Alaska, maybe.
00:26:10Cheers, yeah.
00:26:11Yeah.
00:26:16That tune is a little bit sad, a little bit of longing,
00:26:22perhaps regret, right? The chord progression.
00:26:27Yeah.
00:26:35But it's a charming tune, kind of happy ending though, right?
00:26:41Yeah.
00:26:50So when I wrote that song, I was in the middle of the production phase of
00:26:56Therapy for Mental Phobia movie, okay? So yeah, that was a long time ago, and welcome, yeah.
00:27:05And I was suffering from some financial hardship back then because
00:27:11to make that movie, Therapy for Mental Phobia, I bought this camera. It's like $2,700,
00:27:21which is big money. And I was a computer programmer in Los Angeles, and
00:27:29yeah, I had to borrow some money, okay, to afford all that equipment to make that movie, okay?
00:27:39Yeah.
00:27:41But money fully paid off, yeah.
00:27:45Yeah, welcome, friends. Yeah, good evening. Yeah. It's quite late at night, huh? Cheers.
00:27:58Okay, now let's take five minutes break. Yeah, welcome. Good evening, yeah. Midnight Express,
00:28:03right? Yeah, good evening. Five minutes break, please. Thank you. Yeah, very cool.
00:28:12Yeah, I can tell you some stories, yeah. In Alaska, it's midnight, 12 a.m., about. Yeah.
00:28:23Yeah, good evening. Five minutes break, please. Thank you.
00:28:41Yeah.
00:29:11Yeah.
00:29:41Yeah.
00:30:11Yeah.
00:30:23Welcome back.
00:30:28We're back. Yeah, Midnight Express, right? Yeah.
00:30:33Mm-hmm.
00:30:39Oh, 8 a.m.?
00:30:422 a.m.? Okay.
00:30:502 a.m., okay, okay. You must be in, maybe, Midwest. Are you in Wisconsin or, like,
00:31:039 a.m.? Maybe you are in Europe.
00:31:11Okay, okay. Welcome. Yeah, yeah. Colorado, okay. Nice, yeah. I went to Denver, Colorado. Oh,
00:31:18great town. Oh, I love Denver, Colorado. Yeah, nice.
00:31:25Mm-hmm. I was there when, about five years ago, yeah. Great town. Oh, such a beautiful city.
00:31:37Yeah. Oh, yeah.
00:31:47Good part of the country, yeah.
00:31:52Country, yeah.
00:31:58Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, Colorado is fantastic, yeah.
00:32:08I guess Colorado, probably Spanish. Maybe it means colored, right? Colorado, Colorado.
00:32:17I think it's Spanish, okay. My guess is that it is colored, okay, yeah. That's my guess, yeah.
00:32:27Oh, yeah. Welcome.
00:32:35Alaska? Yeah, we have some mountains, yeah.
00:32:39But Colorado, yeah, you have a lot of ski, beautiful ski resorts, right?
00:32:42The fancy ones, right?
00:32:49Yeah. Alaska, we do have ski resorts, but, yeah, they're nice, yeah. I go snowboarding sometimes
00:33:00during the winter, yeah, yeah. Cheers, yeah.
00:33:13Yeah.
00:33:18What's that famous ski resort in Colorado that was featured in Dumb and Dumber, the Jim Carrey?
00:33:30Never been there, but I can't remember the name. It's like, uh,
00:33:48forgot, yeah. But Jim Carrey, Dumb and Dumber, yeah, it was filmed in that Colorado ski resort,
00:33:56right, yeah. I watched that movie, yeah, a long time ago.
00:34:07Yeah.
00:34:07Yeah.
00:34:18It's hard to remember.
00:34:31Let me look it up real quick, okay, yeah.
00:34:33Yeah.
00:34:37Okay.
00:35:04Yeah, well,
00:35:08they say Copper Mountain Resort, but that was not the one it was named.
00:35:21Well, let's go to Colorado ski resort.
00:35:33Yeah.
00:35:39S-Pen, yep.
00:35:48Yeah, S-Pen, S-Pen, right, yeah. That's the one I was thinking of, yeah. Yeah, winter sports, oh,
00:35:54yeah. I used to ski when I was in Korea, but these days I do like snowboarding, okay, yeah.
00:36:03Yeah, welcome, yeah, yeah. S-Pen, right, yeah.
00:36:16Fancy Fancy, yep, yep.
00:36:19Yeah.
00:36:29It's very romantic, isn't it? Like,
00:36:33ski, snowboard, sledge, yeah. Oh, it's very healthy exercise, yeah. Cheers, yeah, yeah.
00:36:49Oh, you've been to S-Pen, huh? Nice, okay.
00:36:57Yeah, I only saw in the movies S-Pen, right, yeah.
00:37:09Yeah.
00:37:10Yeah.
00:37:14So, my recommendation, yeah, have some sleeping bag in your car.
00:37:22This cranberry, Alaskan native plant, high bush cranberry, okay. I put vodka in there, yeah.
00:37:32Yeah, so, yeah, so my recommendation, yeah, you put some sleeping bag in your car,
00:37:51extra clothing, change of clothes, also
00:37:56do emergency food, like durable ones, like meals ready to eat, MRE, right,
00:38:11in the army store, surplus store, right, or like
00:38:20like protein bar.
00:38:26Trail snack, right, yeah, those are durable.
00:38:37Oh, yeah, yeah, my car is Ford Expedition. In my car, SUV is big, right, so I have sleeping bag,
00:38:47tenting, tent, full tenting gear,
00:38:53flashlights, extra batteries, and emergency food, yeah, like
00:39:02trail snack, like protein bar, and a lot of water bottles.
00:39:12Yeah, so.
00:39:17Extra lighters, in case I need to make some fire.
00:39:23Okay, yeah, yeah, cheers, yeah.
00:39:40Yeah, survival, right, yeah.
00:39:46Yeah, so.
00:40:08Yeah.
00:40:17Yeah, so, in Alaska, we have trees, just like in Colorado, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, good night,
00:40:26yeah, have a good night's sleep, yeah, yeah, yeah, good night's sleep, yeah, thank you, yeah.
00:40:34Yeah.
00:40:43Nice.
00:40:49Okay, yeah, good night, let's take five minutes break, and then we'll talk about some survival.
00:40:56Sure, sure, yeah, we can do that, yeah, yeah, good night, yeah, okay.
00:41:04Now, five minutes break, please, and we'll talk about some survival skills, okay, which is very
00:41:09important. Oh, yeah, okay, very cool.
00:41:34Okay.
00:42:04Yeah.
00:42:34Yeah.
00:43:04Yeah.
00:43:20All right, friends, welcome, we are back, welcome back, and let me drink some whiskey, okay.
00:43:34Yeah, so, yeah, welcome, friends, yeah, welcome, welcome. So, survival, I learned that stuff in
00:44:00YouTube, there are a lot of YouTube tutorials about how to survive, you know, wilderness.
00:44:09I studied that before I came to Alaska, I was in an Arab American law school back then,
00:44:14and it was so funny, so interesting, survival, like how to make a shelter with tree branches,
00:44:24how to use, wow, basic camping, right, yeah.
00:44:34I camped out one night in Alaska once, because it's just too much work.
00:44:46Alone, okay, yeah, I did that once, and
00:44:49uh, where?
00:44:56Iklutna Lake, that's halfway between Wasilla and Anchorage, okay, yeah, it's beautiful lake,
00:45:05the very legendary Alaskan native tribe there, okay, Iklutna Lake, yeah, cheers, yeah.
00:45:11There was very first year I came here, like 2015, nine years ago,
00:45:24it's a long lake, Iklutna Lake, very clean water, kind of glacial water, very cold,
00:45:32but believe it or not, there are some fish in there, okay, yeah, I looked it up, okay, so, yeah.
00:45:38Cheers.
00:45:46It's, the lake is very long, it's like five miles long, okay, so, they have this bicycle
00:45:54trail there along the lake, yeah, I took my mountain bike and backpack, I asked my Alaskan
00:46:02friends, who are very good at camping, they recommended me to bring tarp, yeah, so I purchased
00:46:11the biggest tarp I can find in Walmart, okay, and for food, uh, I think it was like bread,
00:46:23bread, I made it very small by like squeezing it to make it small on my backpack, okay,
00:46:34rucksack, yeah, and I carried also the beef jerky, maybe ramen noodle as well, okay, so,
00:46:46um, so, I took my bicycle, mountain bike, and, uh, rode my bike five miles
00:47:05to the far end of the Iklutna Lake, yeah, alone, and then went to the forest,
00:47:17and, uh, camp, built the tent, wrapped with tarp for insulation, it was quite warm, it was in May,
00:47:27I think, late May, I guess, okay, yeah, and, yeah, and, um, built campfire,
00:47:35um, so, it was the far end of Lake Iklutna, so there's this creek, right, yeah,
00:47:50clean water, yeah, very cold water, get glacial melt, yeah, yeah,
00:47:57um, maybe 100 yards from the creek, yeah, built my camp there, and
00:48:09one night, like Saturday,
00:48:15about eight years ago, it was nice, yeah, but a lot of work, yeah,
00:48:21uh, because
00:48:37in Alaska, we are bears,
00:48:38so, I built a makeshift fence with three branches,
00:48:53because, let's say I'm asleep late at night,
00:48:59because I built a wooden fence around my tent, if a bear comes, the bear will have to overcome
00:49:07that fence, and it will make some noise, so that I can wake up,
00:49:19right, yeah,
00:49:20right, yeah,
00:49:27so that took a lot of time, hours and hours, okay, yeah,
00:49:35I did carry bear spray and, uh, revival, okay, yeah, because bears,
00:49:44uh, yeah, in Alaska or California, right, any bear country, maybe in Appalachia,
00:49:55uh, if you are camping out there, yeah, you need to carry bear spray and a gun,
00:50:01okay, because bears, they're hungry animals, and
00:50:07okay, yeah, I, of course, I know martial arts, but
00:50:10it's a lot easier if I just carry a gun, okay,
00:50:17and bear spray as well, okay, yeah,
00:50:29they're dangerous animals,
00:50:30they're dangerous animals,
00:50:36okay, now, let's take five minutes break, okay, and then I'll tell you some more, okay, sure,
00:50:41welcome, yeah,
00:50:44and time to check your Q in daily motion,
00:50:52okay, it's been less than one hour, okay, very cool,
00:51:00okay, five minutes, thank you.
00:51:30you
00:52:00you
00:52:30you
00:53:00you
00:53:09okay, welcome back, and, uh, so, that camping trip, it was nice, yeah, a lot of work, but
00:53:17yeah, uh, I, that camping site, uh, it was not an established campground, well,
00:53:24like, yeah, if I would have gone further, yeah, there's campground there, okay, so,
00:53:32but I did not go there, why, because I wanted to be alone with the nature,
00:53:38just once, okay, Alaskan experience, alone with wild nature, okay, so,
00:53:46I chose that site because there's absolutely nobody there, I was alone, just one night, yeah,
00:53:54uh, fortunately, the, there was no bear coming to my campsite, okay, I was lucky, I guess, okay,
00:54:03no bear, yeah, but I, at night, yeah, I was alone at night in my tent, wrapped up with tarp,
00:54:12it was quite warm, yeah, sleeping bag, and, uh, yeah, campfire, yeah,
00:54:18yeah, and I did hear some animal sound, I don't know what animal that was, maybe a fox, maybe,
00:54:30no clue, yeah, so,
00:54:35um, was I scared? No, not at all,
00:54:50welcome, yeah,
00:54:54good evening, it's kind of late at night, yeah, so, you know, to survive out there in the nature,
00:55:05right, in camping situation, yeah, uh, you need food, water, and shelter, right, yeah,
00:55:18I was there out there one night, so, yeah, I had that,
00:55:24no problem, camelback water, okay, yeah, cheers, yeah,
00:55:35yeah,
00:55:48it was nice, romantic, yeah, alone in Alaska,
00:55:54all over the universe, the nature, alone with God, right, all God is, right, yeah, it was nice, yeah,
00:56:05just one night,
00:56:13oh, yeah,
00:56:24oh, yeah, cheers, yeah,
00:56:26yeah,
00:56:33of course, I'm a drinker, so, I did carry a canton, metallic canton, filled with whiskey,
00:56:43yeah, I drank whiskey that night before I went to bed,
00:56:51hmm, then woke up next morning, and went to the creek, and brushed my teeth, yeah, it was nice,
00:57:02and then, building on my tent, and tarp, and, um, put out the fire, and then, uh,
00:57:14bicycling back five miles to the parking lot along Eklutna Lake, okay, and then came back home,
00:57:23safely, yeah, that was like eight years ago, it was nice, I'm glad that I had that experience, yeah,
00:57:37oh, yeah,
00:57:37oh, yeah, so, yeah, I love martial arts, okay, yeah, yeah, I'm a martial artist, so,
00:57:47all night, in the forest,
00:57:53I was not scared at all,
00:57:58not at all,
00:58:00I also had a gun with me, okay, a revolver, .357, the magnum, hollow point, okay, and bear spray,
00:58:12okay, yeah, like, right next to my head, in the tent, okay, yeah,
00:58:21yeah,
00:58:32but fortunately, bear did not come that night, okay, yeah,
00:58:38are there bears there, yeah, there are bears, okay, yeah, but they didn't come to me that night,
00:58:45I'm glad they didn't, okay, yeah, okay, let's take five minutes break, okay, some more Alaskan
00:58:53stories, sure, sure, because some of my friends, they are bear hunters, okay, they hunted some
00:59:00big bears in Alaska, okay, bear hunting license, it's legal, okay, we have a lot of bears, so,
00:59:08yeah, I bought bear hunting license before, but never had to use it, okay, so,
00:59:16some of my friends, yeah, they did hunt bears, bear hunters, yeah,
00:59:24well, okay, five minutes break, okay, thank you, yeah,
00:59:28yeah,
00:59:34yeah, okay, five minutes, thank you, yeah,
00:59:47okay,
00:59:57yeah,
01:00:27yeah,
01:00:57yeah,
01:01:27yeah,
01:01:43okay, welcome back,
01:01:45okay,
01:01:52okay, some bear story in Alaska, yeah, I only heard those stories where I did meet black bears
01:02:03in the wild, yeah, but they were nice to me, okay, yeah, so, yeah, they're quite friendly, actually,
01:02:13okay, but we have polar bear in Alaska, that's way up north, right, and then we have
01:02:23grizzly brown bears and we have black bears, yeah, three kinds of bears in Alaska, okay, yeah, cheers,
01:02:30yeah, polar bears and grizzly bear, brown bear, I only saw them in the zoo in Alaska, okay,
01:02:41but black bears, I've seen them out there in the wild, okay, they were nice to me, okay,
01:02:52yeah,
01:02:53yeah,
01:03:10the bears are smart animals, right, yeah,
01:03:12yeah,
01:03:20so, I asked my Alaskan friend, but they are hunters, okay, so, I asked my Alaskan friend,
01:03:26yeah, hey, if Bruce Lee and grizzly fight, who do you think will win? My Alaskan friend said,
01:03:36yeah, yeah, the grizzly will win easily, okay, it kind of rhymes now, because, yeah, grizzly,
01:03:44yeah, they're, like, sometimes 1,000 pounds, they're big, right, they're strong and very fast,
01:03:56they're good fighters, right, yeah,
01:03:59yeah, but
01:04:08if a grizzly and Bruce Lee fight,
01:04:15I think Bruce Lee may win, I don't know, okay,
01:04:22yeah,
01:04:22I don't know,
01:04:36yeah, so, bears in Alaska, sometimes, they're not very nice, okay,
01:04:43it depends on their individuality, not personality, because bear is not a person, but
01:04:51depends on their character, some bears are nice to people, other bears, they can be very mean
01:05:02and dangerous, okay, so, yeah, love martial arts, okay, it's so important, okay, yeah, cheers.
01:05:13Mm-hmm,
01:05:26yeah,
01:05:33all these wild animals, right, they're beautiful, but
01:05:43when this wild animal is kind of big, like mountain lion, bear, shark, alligator,
01:05:56they're in America, right, yeah, in Florida, they're great white sharks,
01:06:02in California, there's Humboldt squid, which is very big squid, they can be very dangerous,
01:06:12yeah, welcome, welcome, yeah,
01:06:25welcome, so, yeah, love martial arts, okay, yeah, to self-defense, because
01:06:36wild animals, especially when they're big, like moose, elk, reindeer,
01:06:44they can be very dangerous, okay, so, martial arts, very important, okay, cheers, yeah,
01:06:53mm-hmm, yeah,
01:07:05yeah, because if you love martial arts, okay, you become a very sensitive person,
01:07:12you can perceive danger before it comes to you, okay, yeah, it's magical, martial arts, okay,
01:07:22oh,
01:07:27it's so important, yeah,
01:07:37yeah,
01:07:51mm-hmm, okay, it's moving more than one hour, we'll take five minutes break, maybe we'll do
01:08:02one more segment, and then we'll make transition to Facebook live, okay, yeah, I'm kind of getting
01:08:09drunk, okay, and I went to Fred Meyer's, I bought some, like, mac and cheese, macaroni and cheese,
01:08:18okay, because I really crave for it, okay, yeah, cheese, yeah, it's good calcium and
01:08:27protein, yeah, mac and cheese, yeah, sometimes it's nice, yeah,
01:08:38yeah, microwaveable food, okay, mac and cheese, macaroni and cheese, okay, I love that stuff,
01:08:45okay, okay, five minutes break, okay, thank you, yeah, okay,
01:08:55very cool, yeah, five minutes, thank you,
01:09:00thank you,
01:09:30thank you,

01:11:45that's where I learned it, okay, so all kinds of wonderful instructional tutorial videos in
01:11:52YouTube, survival skill, with the camping, okay, yeah, it's fantastic, it's very interesting,
01:12:00okay, yeah, I know in theory, okay, yeah, like, how to build a fire with just wood,
01:12:12I know in theory, but I rather just use, like, lighter, okay,
01:12:21it's kind of lazy like that, okay, so, but it's great learning experience, very interesting,
01:12:31okay, yeah, yeah,
01:12:35cheers, yeah, yeah,
