Transcript
00:00Hello again, Connor Gormley here for Sussex World and this is our daily news bulletin
00:06where I run you through all of our top stories across both East and West Sussex today.
00:11Plans for an indoor food market in Chichester have been approved, having been submitted
00:15to the District Council earlier this year.
00:17The market is set to feature up to 11 outlets including a specialty coffee shop, a wine
00:22bar as well as a range of small eateries.
00:25The hope is they will really contribute to the city's night-time economy and make it
00:30a really nice hangout spot.
00:32It's set to open up on North Street in a site previously occupied by a haberdashery shop.
00:39A Crawley Secondary School's end of term video is making waves thanks to the headteacher's
00:44hilarious Christopher Walken impression.
00:45It's a yearly tradition at St Wilfrid's Catholic School whose previous end of year videos have
00:50riffed on The Greatest Showman, Love Actually, Home Alone and Hamilton.
00:55But this year they've opted for a frame-by-frame remake of the music video for Fatboy Slim's
00:59Weapon of Choice, starring Christopher Walken, here brilliantly impersonated by headteacher
01:05Michael Ferry.
01:07This year's Broadwater Carnival and Worthing Fire Station Open Day attracted a pretty sizeable
01:12crowd of residents, eager for an afternoon of stalls and rides and really thrilling fire
01:17rescue demonstrations with all proceeds going to the Firefighters' Charity.
01:22We had a photographer there on the day and it made for some brilliantly dramatic photography
01:25so it's well worth checking out the story online.
01:29That's all from me for the moment, but for more on all these stories, for all of those
01:32dramatic firefighting photos and to keep on top of headlines from across Sussex, make
01:37sure to visit sussexworld.co.uk, follow us on social media and buy your local newspaper
01:42each and every week.
01:44Thanks very much for listening and I'll be back with more tomorrow.
