00:00Hello there, Conor Gormley here. I'm a trainee reporter for Sussex World and this is today's
00:05Sussex World News Bulletin, where I run you through all of our biggest stories from across
00:11the region. Work has started on the new Charles Church development in Ringmer, which will
00:16see 50 new homes built in the East Sussex village. The work itself started on May 31st
00:21and the new homes are expected to be ready by later this year, with the first families
00:26moving in just in time for Christmas. Hastings residents were found to be second most likely
00:32to experience depression this summer, according to a new study. Analysing data from the Office
00:36for National Statistics across 378 locations, the study conducted by Karma, which is a mental
00:42health app, found that Hastings is second most likely to have depressed residents. The
00:47study links depression to smoking and with 25.8% of Hastings residents classed as smokers,
00:55that leaves a really good portion of the population predisposed to mental health issues.
00:59A CIC in Bognor Regis could be in with a chance of gaining the storage facilities of its dreams
01:05if a new fundraiser succeeds. Grandad's Front Room is a non-profit business in Bognor Regis
01:10which provides ad hoc pastoral support and white goods to vulnerable families throughout
01:15the town and it's been fighting for better storage space to contain donations for some
01:19time, saying that their current space makes it much harder to do business than a bigger
01:24space would. That's all from me for today, but for more local news, make sure to follow
01:31us on social media, check out our website and of course buy your local newspaper. Thanks
01:36very much.
