00:00Let's go to an AL Central duel as well.
00:06Divisional foes face off in the land.
00:08The Guardians now second best mark in the American League
00:11after losing their opening weekend set following the break
00:14to the San Diego Padres.
00:16Baltimore has one more win a half game advantage over the
00:20Guardians in today.
00:22The Tigers a favorite on the road at minus 124.
00:26Let's start with Detroit victorious in nine of its last
00:3112 games for consecutive series wins a sweep over Cincy a
00:36four-game series win over these Guardians a series victory
00:41over the Dodgers and then they open up after the break taking
00:45two of three from the Blue Jays.
00:48Is this potentially the final or one of the final appearances
00:55for Tarek scuba in a Tigers uniform.
00:58He is on the road today against the Guardians.
01:00We are eight days away from the MLB trade deadline.
01:04His name has been floated.
01:05The Tigers now again winning nine of their last 12 only two
01:09games below 500.
01:11What do you say Donnie any extra motivation one last dance
01:14in Detroit for Tarek scuba on the road today in Cleveland.
01:19It's kind of crazy.
01:20Like if you have the Detroit Tigers like why is this guy's
01:22name even on the market at this point?
01:24One of the best young pitchers in baseball.
01:26So you figure if you're going through a rebuild you can do
01:28that in two to three years and he still should be able to be
01:30a dominant pitcher in Major League Baseball and something
01:32your fans can hold on to.
01:34Well, that's going to be a different point.
01:35If he does get traded certainly how many prospects are coming
01:38back to Detroit probably a ton.
01:40But if we're just looking at today's game overall, as I said,
01:42there's 24 pitchers on the card today, you know, is number
01:45one by a long shot.
01:46It's Tarek scuba a 68 XFIT minus an ERA of 2.95 over the past
01:5060 days and an exit of 2.8 181.
01:53Damn near unhittable.
01:54Now, here's the interesting part as you talk about Detroit,
01:56it typically used to be like maybe one or two batters were
01:59okay in that lineup and the rest were terrible.
02:01It's not the case anymore.
02:02You arguably have close to six batters at above average ISO
02:05power numbers over the past 30 days against right-handed
02:07pitching.
02:08That's what's pulling Detroit out because they're getting
02:10good pitching along with some solid hitting at times.
02:12We take a look at Carlos Carrasco.
02:14Here's what's going to be interesting.
02:15Ben over the past 60 days in ERA of 4.87, but an XFIT number
02:20exit minus number of 90 you take a look at his XFIT number
02:23a 3.68 not that bad.
02:26So I take a look at that price because right now I don't think
02:28we're firing on all cylinders at the plate for the club for
02:31the Guardians.
02:31I like that lot of the numbers are decent but as of late just
02:34haven't been working in our direction.
02:36I don't know how much offense we're going to get on the opposite
02:38side either at this point.
02:40So when we're looking at this seven and a half, I think it
02:42might be best to go under the total today.
02:4477 degrees is what they're going to be playing in Cleveland,
02:46but it wind blowing in slightly from right field.
02:49I think this game stays under the total because I think Carrasco
02:51can step up to the occasion not get blown away over the first
02:54five innings.
