00:00Will, on Everton and their sort of takeover situation, it seems like there's always some
00:06positive news and then it turns around within a matter of weeks and Everton fans are sort
00:11of feeling a bit fed up about things again. Is there a clear sort of idea of what's going
00:18on with the takeover situation and what does it sort of mean in terms of transfer business
00:23as well because they've had a couple of outgoings as well, a big one obviously with Ananda as
00:28well to Aston Villa.
00:29Yeah, so obviously the freeking group have pulled out, have to gain exclusivity from
00:38majority owner Fabio Scherri and it is a little bit disappointing for Everton fans definitely
00:44because they had last year the MSP sports capitals, maybe looking at buying a percentage
00:51of the club and then obviously the 777 saga which dragged on far too long and now this.
00:59I mean the positive is that Dan Freeken, you know, he's paid off one of the previous debts
01:04and obviously Everton owe him the money now, it's ÂŁ200 million but look, I think Dan Freeken,
01:12he is a legitimate businessman and for him to get to the point where he's probably walked
01:18away, he's probably quite comfortable with the terms that have been agreed with the takeover
01:23and maybe he's done that as well because he knows that there will be suits as well but
01:28he just doesn't, I think it just got a little bit too complicated with the debt that's there
01:33and you know, the set of money that 777 provides and they're back as ACAF and yeah, you can
01:40understand, if it was complicated I think that's why they've pulled out.
01:43So it is disappointing because, you know, Roma fans have been really impressed by what
01:48he's done in the four years and obviously Everton were hoping for that stability.
01:52In terms of the transfer window, I mean the message is coming out to the club that it's
01:57not going to impact Everton's transfer window too heavily, certainly Jared Bramfoit isn't
02:03going anywhere, as you say, the Sols, Amazons are in and out so you would probably think
02:09that Everton, I think everyone knew that one big player would be leaving this summer,
02:15that would be fair to say and obviously Everton met that PSR with sales of fringe players
02:20and now O'Neill has gone, what will happen with the money, will it be reinvested into
02:25the squad?
02:26I don't think all of it will, to be quite frank, but I think some of it will.
02:30But yeah, Everton have made it clear that just because this has happened that there's
02:38not going to be a fire sale whatsoever, there will be suitors back in for Everton, there
02:42were plenty of parties who were looking to buy the club and you would like to think that
02:48a few of them are going to come back to the table as well.
02:51So it's a big setback for Everton but it doesn't mean that, as I say, there's going to be a
02:56fire sale and they'll certainly be steadfast when it comes to Jared Bramfoit.
03:02The interesting one now is Dominic Albert-Lewins, the transfer window continues, it's the final
03:09year of his deal, what will happen with his future but yeah, I think Everton financially
03:15they are fairly, I don't want to say comfortable, but they're quite relaxed about the situation.
