00:00On Everton, in terms of their situation, transfers, we've obviously discussed it's been quite
00:08an issue for them throughout the summer. They started with a few good deals and then it
00:12sort of petered out. They got a lot of that business done early on in the window. In terms
00:16of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a player whose peak for Everton is fantastic for them, the fans
00:22love him. What's the sort of situation on his future and just generic transfers in general?
00:29Uncertain, I think, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Until last year, his deal was on the table,
00:37still hasn't been signed. Will he be here before the transfer window closes? Look, Sean
00:46Dite has been asked about him a couple of times now, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and let's
00:51just say he hasn't been on a charm offensive to keep him. He hasn't been saying the deal's
00:55there. We'd love to keep Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He's almost said if an offer comes in, every
01:01player has the price. Everton are in a situation now to turn down money. Look, from an FFP
01:08perspective, they would be making a lot of profit on Dominic Calvert-Lewin because he
01:13was brought in for around £1m from Sheffield United. If Everton lost him on a 3, they wouldn't
01:20be losing anything really on him. More than that, the money's worth. This would be a really
01:26good financial deal for Everton. If he stays the way he is, is he going to have his mind
01:36on his future? We know about his injury problems in the past couple of years. He's not going
01:42to want to go into a summer where he's free-aging but he's injured because teams might not take
01:49the risk or he might not get the deal he wants. Does he play within himself if he is to stay?
02:00On the other hand, what are his options? West Ham have signed a striker. Tottenham have
02:06signed a striker. Would he go to Arsenal where he would be a back-up? Man Utd have been mooted.
02:16Would he be playing there regularly? You've got Hoyland, Zirkzee and Tony maybe they might
02:22come in for. It's an interesting one. With Calvert-Lewin, I don't think you could say
02:30if he'll stay or he'll go. In terms of other transfer options, he thinks it's unlikely
02:35they'll do any more business. I almost think he's just setting expectations of Everton
02:42fans to prepare for the worst. We know they've grown five in so far but they're still short
02:49in midfield. They need options in midfield. They need another left-back in my opinion
02:55as Brad Calvert and right-back despite having three options. It's a bit of a problem position.
03:00James Coleman's injured and Nathan Paterson's injured. Nathan Paterson hasn't quite been
03:06fancied by Sean Dyche. Coleman's getting on. Ashley Young, we've seen his shortfalls
03:12in the opener and defeat against Brighton. So right-back's another position that might
03:17need bolstering. So it might be busier than Sean Dyche is letting on to be towards the
03:23end of the window.
