00:00Today, the Supreme Court has said that the reneat examinations will not happen again.
00:12The Supreme Court has said that many people have given instances, why won't it happen?
00:17The first thing they have said is that for the reneat examinations,
00:21many people from the EWS category, the Marginalized Section, have also given exams.
00:27Again, they will entail that for the reneat examinations, that cost will have to be incurred.
00:32The second thing that has been said today is that for the reneat examinations,
00:37the arguments that were made by us that hard work has been put in, time has been put in,
00:42that will be a sheer wastage.
00:45That is why we were making these arguments.
00:48Today, the Supreme Court has made it clear in the order that the reneat examinations will not happen again.
00:52The Honourable Supreme Court of India heard this matter for two and a half days.
00:56They heard the petitioners at length, they heard the respondents, they heard the CBI,
01:01they saw the investigation reports, and they heard the petitioners again in the rejoinder.
01:07The Supreme Court's decision was that there was not enough evidence on the record
01:14to determine that the leak or cheating happened in Patna and Hazaribagh,
01:20as well as in other centres.
01:22Plus, the data presented by the respondents showed that
01:27the inflation of ranks for at least 1,00,000-8,000 children is not that much.
01:33On that basis, the Honourable Supreme Court determined that
01:36due to lack of evidence, they cannot order the reneat examinations.
01:39On top of this, the Supreme Court also said that
01:41if the reneat examinations are ordered on the basis of so little evidence,
01:45then it will be a very inconvenient situation for 23.5 lakh children,
01:52especially those children who have worked hard for this exam for many years.
