00:00More than 100 flights to Niha have been canceled today, most of them to Taiwan, where a super storm is expected to hit.
00:12Live from Niha, Ma'am Gonzalez was with us. Ma'am.
00:20Emil, there are still a lot of passengers stranded here in Niha Terminal 3 due to bad weather.
00:25As for those stranded here in Niha, an OFW is supposed to go home tired but his flight was canceled and he was not able to rebook immediately.
00:32There was also one who was supposed to be on vacation but he was able to camp out here because he was not able to go home due to flooding.
00:38In the latest flight advisory of Manila International Airport Authority or MIA, 114 flights were canceled in various Niha Terminals due to bad weather.
00:47This includes domestic and international flights of Philippine Airlines, PAL Express, Cebgo, Cebu Pacific, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Eva Air.
00:55Niha Terminal 4 was closed earlier due to flooding.
00:58Only Taipei and Taiwan are left and the affected international flights will return.
01:02One flight from Da Nang, Vietnam was diverted to Clark Airport.
01:05The Department of Migrant Workers is now helping OFWs who were not able to fly to Taiwan.
01:11According to the DMW, more OFWs were stranded because their connecting domestic flights were canceled in their respective provinces.
01:19The opening of this OFW lounge in Niha Terminal 3 this Friday is just right.
01:23There is free food, drinks, and charging area for OFWs so the people inside will not be exhausted.

02:08We already notified our Migrant Workers offices and our Welfare Officers, our OWA offices in Taiwan.
