00:00Toby and the Whistling Woods.
00:04There had been a storm on the island of Sodor.
00:08The skies were still grey and the clouds were still heavy,
00:13as the engines huffed and puffed.
00:17Toby was puffing proudly to Knapford Station.
00:21The Fat Controller had a very special special for him.
00:30Toby, the Duke and Duchess of Boxford are arriving at tea time.
00:35They need coal to warm their house.
00:39You must deliver it right away.
00:42Toby was very excited to be given such an important job.
00:47He had never delivered to the Duke and Duchess of Boxford's house before.
00:52Right away, sir!
00:55You must go through the Whistling Woods.
00:58The other track to the house is blocked.
01:01A tree fell across it in the storm.
01:04Toby was worried.
01:06He had never taken the track through the Whistling Woods.
01:10He always puffed along the other track.
01:13I don't like the Whistling Woods.
01:16I think it's dark in there and full of strange noises.
01:21But today, Toby would have to puff through the Whistling Woods.
01:28Toby chuffed up to Whistling Woods Junction.
01:32James and Thomas were there.
01:34They were shunting trucks.
01:37Hello, Toby!
01:38But Toby didn't say hello to his friend Thomas.
01:42He was too busy looking at the Whistling Woods.
01:50You look worried, Toby.
01:52Toby was worried, but he wanted to be brave.
01:57Hello, Thomas.
01:58I have to take this coal to the Duke and Duchess' house.
02:02I have to chuff through the Whistling Woods.
02:06Then Toby's signal turned green, but he didn't chuff away.
02:12Thomas and James were puzzled.
02:15Are you scared of the Whistling Woods, Toby?
02:18Toby didn't want James to think he was a scaredy engine.
02:23No, I'm not.
02:25Thomas wanted to help his friend.
02:28I can chuff through the woods with you, Toby.
02:32Toby wanted Thomas' help, but he was an old engine.
02:37Old engines can't be scaredy engines.
02:41I can't ask young engines for help.
02:45So Toby pumped his pistons.
02:49No, thank you, Thomas. I don't need your help.
02:54And Toby chuffed off into the Whistling Woods all by himself.
03:02Toby's boiler jittered and juddered.
03:05The woods were very dark and the trees looked very big.
03:10Toby wanted to be a brave engine and not a scaredy engine.
03:16I'm not scared of the Whistling Woods.
03:18I'll puff straight on like Thomas would.
03:21Suddenly, Toby heard a strange sound.
03:25It made his wheels wobble.
03:28What was that?
03:30Then, Toby heard the noise again.
03:34Bust my buffers! These woods are too scary for me!
03:40Toby huffed hard backwards out of the Whistling Woods,
03:45straight into the two trucks James and Thomas had shunted.
03:49Thomas and James were surprised, and so was Toby.
03:54Fizzling fireboxes! I'm sorry.
03:58What happened, Toby? Were you scared?
04:01I can puff through the woods with you, Toby.
04:04Toby did want James' help,
04:07but he still thought old engines couldn't ask young ones for help.
04:12No, thank you, James. I don't need your help.
04:17So Toby puffed back into the Whistling Woods all by himself.
04:30Toby chuffed further and further.
04:34I'm not scared of the Whistling Woods.
04:36I'll puff straight on like Thomas would.
04:39Then he heard another strange noise.
04:44Pumping pistons! What's that?
04:48These woods are far too scary!
04:52So Toby huffed his hardest out of the Whistling Woods,
04:58straight into the four trucks James and Thomas had shunted.
05:04Toby was upset.
05:07Trembling trucks! I'm sorry.
05:11Once again, Thomas wanted to help his friend Toby.
05:16Toby, let us help you puff through the woods.
05:19We can puff through with you.
05:21Toby really wanted James and Thomas' help,
05:24but he still thought old engines couldn't ask young ones for help.
05:30No, thank you.
05:32So Toby puffed back into the Whistling Woods all by himself.
05:40He clickety-clacked along the track.
05:45I'm not scared of the Whistling Woods.
05:47I'll puff straight on like Thomas would.
05:50Then Toby heard the strangest noise of all.
05:55Trembling trams! What's that noise?
05:59Toby's boiler bubbled and his wheels wobbled.
06:03He pumped his pistons and raced back out of the woods,
06:08straight into the six trucks Thomas and James had shunted.
06:15Toby felt terrible.
06:18Oh no! This is a disaster!
06:22I've spoiled your trucks.
06:25The Duke and Duchess won't get their coal on time.
06:29And I'm an old and scaredy engine.
06:32Toby looked at his friends.
06:35They weren't calling him a scaredy engine.
06:38Toby could see they were worried for him.
06:42I'm sorry.
06:44I thought an old engine couldn't ask for help.
06:48But now I see that you're never too old to ask for help.
06:53Please, will you puff through the Whistling Woods with me?
06:59Thomas and James were happy to help.
07:02Of course, Toby. Follow us.
07:05Soon, Toby's trucks were full of coal.
07:10Then Toby followed James and Thomas into the Whistling Woods.
07:16Slowly, Toby, Thomas and James chuffed and puffed along the track.
07:24There's my friend, the Snowy Owl.
07:28The Snowy Owl flew above their heads.
07:32It was sweet and fluffy.
07:35Oh my!
07:37Toby couldn't believe he had been scared of the friendly owl.
07:42Then Toby heard another noise.
07:45What's that?
07:47It's the Woodland Waterfall. Look!
07:51The waterfall was wonderful.
07:53It tinkled and sparkled, it clattered and splattered on the stones.
07:59Buffers and bumpers. That's beautiful.
08:04Then the engines heard a noise that was very, very strange.
08:11What's that?
08:13It's the wind whistling through the woods.
08:17It's the Whistling Woods.
08:20Toby smiled. He wasn't a scaredy engine anymore.
08:25He was very happy he had asked his friends for help.
08:29I may be old, but now I'm happy.
08:34And Toby smiled all the way to the Duke and Duchess' house.
