00:00St. George's Hall is set to mark its 170th birthday by inviting a host of
00:04Liverpool's most talented performers into its iconic spaces. From comedians to
00:09singer-songwriters, jazz to rock and roll, the final programme of events from
00:12SGH 170 Festival, curated by Culture Liverpool and St. George's Hall team, has
00:17now been unveiled and will run from August until September. Thousands of
00:21visitors have already been enjoying Aeonarium Enlightenment, which brings
00:25Vivaldi's four seasons to life in an audio-visual extravaganza in the Great
00:29Hall, and runs until the 29th of September. From Thursday 1st of August,
00:33the rest of the programme, showcasing the very best of Liverpool's cultural scene,
00:37will take over the concert room, including the Jacaranda's Rock and Roll
00:41Circus, the Wombat Jazz Festival, a songwriter showcase networking event
00:46with local musicians including Zuzu and MT Jones performing in the round and
00:50sharing the stories behind their songs, plus an evening of laughter featuring
00:54Adam Rowe, Josh Pugh and more, hosted by award-winning comedian Sam Avery.
