ओल्ड राजेंद्र नगर में 27 जुलाई को एक कोचिंग संस्थान के बेसमेंट में बारिश का पानी भर जाने से 3 छात्रों की मौत हो गई थी जिसके बाद से छात्रों ने ओल्ड राजेंद्र नगर में अपनी भूख हड़ताल जारी रखी है। प्रदर्शनकारी छात्र ने कहा, जब हमने पुलिस के उच्च अधिकारियों से बात की, तो उन्होंने बार-बार हमें आश्वासन दिया कि हमारी मांगें मान ली गई हैं। हालांकि, हमें इस बात की कोई पुष्टि नहीं मिली कि हमारी मांगों पर वास्तव में विचार किया गया है। इसलिए, हमने एलजी से मिलने तक अपना विरोध और धरना जारी रखने का फैसला किया। उस बैठक में, हम अपनी मांगों को और अधिक प्रभावी ढंग से रखेंगे ।
