00:00Oh, no.
00:01No, Joey.
00:02Joey.
00:03You've never called me Michael before.
00:04I know.
00:05I know.
00:06It's been, I know.
00:07It's been a while.
00:08It's been a while.
00:09It's all right.
00:10It's all right.
00:11Hey, what's President Biden's reaction been so far on the strong initial enthusiasm that
00:15Democratic voters are showing for Kamala Harris's candidacy?
00:18She had a rally in Atlanta last night with over 10,000 people, raised more than $200
00:23million a week, has improved on polling in battleground states from where Biden was.
00:28Does the president feel reassured about his decision to drop out of the election by what
00:33he's seen so far from Harris?
00:36I'm going to ask you, wouldn't you, what would you, wouldn't you be reassured?
00:39No, but you just listed out what's occurred the past week.
00:44I don't even know.
00:45Everything is just coming all together.
00:48Past week or so, again, campaign don't want to get into specifics of numbers that you
00:52just ticked off and what we've seen.
00:55But I mean, look, you just listed off some pretty incredible moments that we've seen
01:02with her campaign over the last week or so.
01:05And so, look, I think at the end of the day, what I can say, and I've said this before
01:11and I'll repeat it, is the president is incredibly proud of the vice president, Vice President
01:16Kamala Harris.
01:17And he has said, he has said that the reason why he chose her, the reason why he picked
01:21her to be his vice president back in 2020, almost, gosh, almost four years ago, is because
01:27he believed she could lead on day one.
01:29And that we have to remember who the vice president is.
01:32She's been vice president for almost three and a half years.
01:34She's helped be a partner in really big decisions that we've had to make here, whether it's
01:39domestic or foreign policy.
01:41She was a senator.
01:42She was an attorney general.
01:43She is incredibly qualified.
01:46And he could not think of anybody else who could have done this job, that he could have
01:51made this decision, and to take over the campaign, obviously.
01:57And so he's very proud of her.
01:59And I will just leave it there.
02:00And so he does feel reassured by that decision?
02:02I mean, he's proud of his decision.
02:04He's proud of his decision.
02:06And you've just listed out a long list of reasons of why.
02:09Okay, Peter.
