00:00Good evening from Paris, day nine of the Olympic Games just wrapping up.
00:04It's been another medal-laden day for Great Britain,
00:07although no golds today, which feels like a bit of a rarity,
00:10but plenty of bronze and silver, which you can read all about over on Standard Sport,
00:13including from Tommy Fleetwood in a thrilling finish to the men's golf tournament
00:17at La Golfe Nationale this afternoon.
00:19But tonight in Paris, it's been all about the athletics in the men's 100m final,
00:23an epic race.
00:24It looked, we were just watching on a screen,
00:26I've been at La Defense Arena for the last night of the swimming
00:29and it looked on the TV we were watching it on like Jamaica's Keshane Thompson had got it.
00:33It took an age for the results to flash up,
00:36but it was Noah Lyles by five thousandths of a second, unbelievably close.
00:40In fact, across the whole field, he could have thrown a blanket over them.
00:43But it means that the American who's billed as a potential superstar of these games
00:47has got leg one of what he hopes will be a three-peat here at the Games done
00:51and probably the hardest leg actually in the bag as well.
00:54So there's plenty more report and analysis from the Stade de France
00:58from my colleague Matt Magendie, who was there tonight over on Standard Sport,
01:02as well as, as I say, the fallout from the end of the swimming meeting
01:05where Adam Peaty has spoken after what might be his last ever Olympic race
01:09about the Chinese doping controversy that has followed their swimmers into these games.
