00:00Here comes Cubie!
00:05My wife and I, we decided to drop all our vacation plans,
00:08and we bought him in our Airbnb.
00:11We were taking care of him early in the morning, late at night.
00:18His right eye is completely blind, but we were able to save his left eye.
00:22Cubie! Cubie! Come, come! Cubie!
00:25After a few days, he started showing his real self.
00:29When he recovered, he became more playful.
00:34Suddenly now, he's this playful and active little furball running around the house.
00:42When it came time for us to go back to Singapore, we really fell in love with him.
00:46So we feel like he should be with us.
00:49But we couldn't bring Cubie because he was still in recovery stage,
00:53and still needed all his vaccinations.
00:55Luckily, we found a foster for him.
00:57She was very helpful during the whole process.
01:02We missed him so much, so we went back to the Philippines multiple times just to visit him.
01:09We saw him grow from a very small kitten to a very huge, chunky cat.

01:18We were very excited when we've gotten the notification that we could bring him to our home.

01:26When he came to the house, he was very comfortable.
01:29He knows he's in a safe place.
01:34Cubie has a sister, Zoe.
01:36Zoe is our first cat.
01:38She thinks that he's the owner of the house.
01:40But the good thing is, Cubie is a super extroverted cat.
01:44So he kept following her around the house, always wanting to play with her.
01:50Despite Zoe always smacking him in the face,
01:54Zoe is still very insistent that,
01:57No, I want to play with you. I want to be friends with you.
02:01Zoe finally gave in and said,
02:03Okay, okay, I can tolerate your presence.
02:05No, they eat the same food, sleep in the bed together.
02:10He's very happy.
02:12He always wants to be with us.
02:15He's very active and he's very healthy now.
02:19He influenced us to help more other cats.
02:22My wife and I became more active in helping with shelters
02:26and helping stray cats, especially back in the Philippines.
02:29We try to get some of them sterilized.
02:32We see a cat that needs medical attention, we try to help them as well.
02:37We make it to a point to go back to the place where we found him
02:40because there are still a lot of cats that need help.
02:45We got a house in front of the parking lot where I found him
02:49because he was that special to us.
