00:10I'd like to see real shops come back. John Lewis, department stores.

00:23It's a mess. It's been a mess for a long time.

00:27And to be honest, I don't think the council are doing it any favours.

00:33There's work underway. Will it bounce back when it's finished?

00:36No, there's nothing here. There's nothing to come to Sheffield City Centre for.

00:42In fact, I went looking for an outfit a couple of weeks ago.

00:45I had to go to Leeds to look at the shops there because there's just nothing here.

00:51There's too many bars. They're trying to make the city centre too posh and trying to keep all

00:56the poor people out. There's not enough shops and they've got too many offices and closing too

01:02many shops down. What was I thinking? There's too many offices and too many flats and they're

01:09trying to do up St. Helensbury now as well. With the B&M store?

01:14Yeah, and they're just closing Wickstown as well, down the bottom of the moor.

01:19So there's too many bars and restaurants, too many eating places to attract the posh people

01:24and there's no shops. There's basically only Primark and that's all there is really

01:28in the city centre. It used to be amazing in the 80s. You could get anything anywhere.

01:34And they knocked the Castle Market down and you could get anything in there. It cost them more

01:39to knock it down than to rebuild it and redo it. And the new market they've got is rubbish.

01:47That says it all, I think.
