Will Max Wöber still be at Leeds at the end of the transfer window?
Transcript
00:00Max Fober, you're not convinced, but Daniel Farker does appear to think that he's committed
00:05to the cause and that he's here for the foreseeable, just like Brendan Aronson.
00:09Discuss.
00:10Look, if right now there was a knock at the door and I opened it and it was Max Fober
00:16and he said, Graham, can I come in?
00:17And I'd say, of course, the door's always open.
00:20And he'd say, I'm convinced by the project.
00:23I love the squad.
00:24I think it's great.
00:25I'm really enjoying it.
00:26I'm here.
00:27I want to be here for the season.
00:28Then maybe I'd take a different view.
00:29But as it stands, he hasn't come and knocked on my door.
00:31He has knocked on Daniel Farker's door and said all of the aforementioned and Farker's
00:37buying it, but I'm not.
00:41And the reason for that, Joe, is what we've talked about before.
00:44From the Bundesliga and the Euros to the bench in the championship, he's come back to Leeds
00:50where he's behind Pascal Stroik and he's behind Junior Firpo as it stands.
00:55Now maybe with Firpo's injury record, maybe there's a chance there he gets in at left
00:59back.
01:00Maybe Pascal Stroik has an absolute stinker, can't see it, and he gets in at centre back.
01:05A year ago, he was probably nailed on to start for Leeds and he might have even had the armband
01:11if Cooper wasn't in the team because he captained the team against Barnsley in a friendly, but
01:15he didn't want it.
01:17So why does he suddenly want it?
01:19I'm partially swayed by the fact that in Germany, the club offered Brendan Aronson the chance
01:24to speak to the local press and had a chance to explain himself and he said, yeah, I'll
01:29do it.
01:30And he answered all the questions.
01:32Some of the questions weren't the most pleasant that he'll face in his career, but he answered
01:36them all and he didn't shirk and I think fair play to him and I'm convinced that he actually
01:41does want to be at Leeds.
01:42Whatever his reasons, I think he's here and he'll be here for the season and I think he
01:47wants to be here.
01:48Max Fober had the chance to speak to us in Germany and he declined.
01:53He didn't want to do it.
01:55So that makes me wonder why.
01:58I think there's still the possibility that either Leeds' asking price comes down ever
02:04so slightly if they've got a potential replacement lined up, obviously a cheaper replacement,
02:11or Munch and Gladbach go, ah, you know what?
02:15We did have 10 million all along.
