00:00Tomorrow night, the other athletes who competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics are expected to return home.

00:08Among them are the kids who won medals such as Carlos Yulo, Ira Villegas, and Nesty Petesho.

00:23Malacanang is preparing a simple but exciting hero's welcome

00:27for the return of the Olympians who gave pride to our country just after the Paris 2024 Olympics.

00:35They are expected to land by 6 p.m. via chartered flight at the Villamor Air Base

00:40where they are only allowed to visit their family members to keep the occasion private.

00:46What we actually provided was that each athlete was allowed to invite up to four members,

00:51either their family, close ones, etc. We left that entirely up to them.

00:56So, whoever is part of that welcome is who the athletes want to be there.

01:02Of course, the Olympic double gold medalist Carlos Yulo and his family are also included.

01:10Congratulations, Kaloy. We miss you so much.

01:15We haven't been together for a long time and we were able to talk. We are so proud.

01:21From the Villamor Air Base, the Olympians will fly to Malacanang

01:25where they will be accompanied by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza.

01:30There will be an awarding ceremony in the Ceremonial Hall and a dinner reception will follow.

01:35Each Olympian will receive a Presidential Citation,

01:39but because of the highest success of Carlos in the Paris Olympics,

01:44which is a double gold medal,

01:46President Marcos Bujas will also receive a Presidential Medal of Merit.

01:50They will also receive cash incentives from the Office of the President,

01:53as well as from those who are mandated by the law.

01:56We want it to be a hero's welcome.

01:58And it's very much focused on them and what they've done to honor the nation.

02:02Since they will arrive in the country tonight,

02:04the government decided to make a motorcade for the Olympians on Wednesday.

02:09It will be a 7.7-kilometer-long parade that will start from Alihu Theater

02:15and then left turn to Rojas Boulevard and then right turn to P. Burgos

02:20straight ahead to Finance Road until it reaches Taft Avenue.

02:27Then right turn to Quirino Avenue up to Adriatico Street

02:32and it will end up at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

02:37There will also be a short program at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
