01:47Carlos' journey wasn't easy in fulfilling one of his biggest dreams of winning an Olympic medal.

01:54The truth is, until he finished his floor exercise routine,

01:58he wasn't sure if he'll be able to win a medal or not.

02:02When you're like that, you feel that the gold is so close.

02:06Before I started on the floor, I saw that I was 14.9 plus the score of my competitor.

02:13I just focused on myself.

02:16I showed what I practiced and what I did.

02:21I was so happy.

02:23But I didn't know that I would win a gold medal.

02:27The vault where Carlos won a gold medal,

02:30seemed even harder for him.

02:32But what helped him here,

02:34was the fellow gymnast and Filipino-British Jake Jarman

02:38of Team Great Britain, whom he considers a close friend.

02:43So Jake is your old friend?

02:46I met him in 2018.

02:50I was 18 years old.

02:52I competed with him.

02:54I trained at their gym.

02:57In my second vault, it was really hard for me.

03:00He wasn't consistent.

03:02So I taught Jake.

03:04I mean, I trained at their gym.
