00:00Hey guys, welcome back to DriveSpark, I'm Vedant Johari and today we are in the scenic
00:08location of Udaipur to test drive none other than the Tata Curve EV.
00:22Let's see what all this car has to offer you, what all features we get and how it performs
00:27on the road.
00:33Now quickly jumping to the whole design aspect of this car, starting off with the front end.
00:36So the first thing that you see is this connecting light bar and right underneath that the Tata
00:40logo.
00:41Now behind this Tata logo is a charging point for this and I'll tell you a little cool features
00:47about the charging socket later on in the video.
00:50Now beyond that, we get a bi-functional LED headlight for our low beam and our high beam
00:55and we get this grille that sort of gives it that electric look and that little futuristic
01:00look that's needed on these vehicles.
01:08Moving on to the side design of the car, we get 18-inch wheels first and this comes with
01:13the aero covers, again adding to that whole electric feel and that whole electric look
01:18of a car.
01:19Beyond that, we get flush door handles, so that basically means you've got to push it
01:23in from one side and open it from the other.
01:27So the body cladding that we get all over the Tata Curve EV is all in a piano black
01:32finish.
01:33Now this gives it a much more premium look than the regular matte black that we see.
01:36Also in the matte black cladding, we normally see the gaps a lot more easier, but with the
01:41piano black finish, it all blends in and makes it just a lot more aesthetically friendly.
01:46Now I'm not going to say much about this, but the rear section of the car might remind
01:50you of something else, but let's take a closer look and see what it actually holds.
01:56First off, we get the connecting light bar again that we see in the front, but for the
02:00rear, we also get the welcome lights and the goodbye lights on this.
02:04Now we get reflectors nicely housed in a small crevice at the rear and we get the Curve EV
02:12badging in this very, very nice piano black finish.
02:16We get cameras all over the car with some radar for our level 2 ADAS, but more on that
02:20when I'm actually driving the car once I get inside.
02:23So at the top of the car, just at the end of the roof, we get this two sort of very,
02:29very subtle spoilers, basically just enhancing the whole sporty aesthetic of the Curve EV.
02:35So let's take a look at the boot space on the Curve EV.
02:38So our regular boot space with our rear seats up gives us around 500 litres and as you can
02:46see, it's pretty spacious with all the bags and storage items that we have.
02:50Now, if we put our rear seats down, our boot space jumps up to 973 litres.
02:57That's almost 1000 litres of boot space on the Curve EV.
03:02Now let's jump inside this car and see what all features there are and how the interior
03:06actually is.
03:08So getting into the rear seat of the Curve EV, so I'm 6 foot 1 and I'm really comfortable
03:14at the rear seat.
03:15I have enough headroom, not a lot of headroom, but there's quite a decent amount.
03:21Interiors are extremely premium, very soft to the touch and very, very comfortable.
03:26Apart from that, we get two AC vents at the rear, we get a type C socket, a 45 watt type
03:30C socket, we get some storage options on the doors.
03:34Apart from that, we get a centre armrest with two cupholders and we get an adjustable headrest,
03:39but that's only for the two passengers, the centre passenger does not get a headrest.
03:45Now we get seatbelts for all three passengers and this also comes with an alert if the rear
03:50passenger is not wearing their seatbelt.
03:52Now let's jump to the front and see what all it has to offer us.
03:56Now jumping into the front seat of the Curve EV, so first off again, we get ventilated
04:01seats for the driver and the co-driver, we get the illuminated Tata logo for our steering
04:06wheel.
04:07Again, the whole tulle tone finish even comes through in the front and we get some very,
04:12very nice contrast stitching around the steering wheel in this nice blue colour.
04:17We get a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, completely digital, we get a 12.3-inch infotainment system,
04:24again, completely digital and touchscreen.
04:26All our blower controls and our basic controls are again, everything is touch, there's no
04:30buttons per se, except for our temperature controls and our blower settings.
04:36We get three driving modes on this, city, eco and sport and very easy to change.
04:41We get our electronic parking brake, auto hold, our gear selector over here and we also
04:46get wireless charging.
04:48On top of that, for storage options, we get a storage option located right in the centre,
04:52we get a storage option in the front as well and we also get a panoramic sunroof on this,
04:57so I'll quickly show you guys that.
04:59Again, it's just one touch, you just gotta push the button and the sunroof opens up.
05:04Gives you quite a lot of space to look out and this just enhances the whole premium aspect
05:09and gives us that little better feeling for when we're actually driving the car.
05:14So, this is just a quick look of the interiors, when I'm driving the car, I'll tell you about
05:18the battery pack, the range and how the car actually performs.
05:27So now we're seated inside the Tata Curve and I'm gonna tell you how it performs, what
05:31all engine options we have and the range and everything else you guys need to know.
05:35So first off, we get two battery options on the Tata Curve, we get a 45kW and a 55kW.
05:42The 45kW can push the Curve up to 502km on a single charge and the 55kW can push it up
05:49to 585km, that's almost 600km on a single charge.
05:54Now apart from that, this motor produces around 160hp and 250Nm of torque.
06:02So now in terms of driving, we have three driving modes, Eco, Sport and City.
06:08Throttle is extremely linear, you really don't feel any strain on the motor, you don't feel
06:15it really trying to pull you and this is good for when you're just coasting or when you
06:19need to save your charge.
06:21Now once we move to City, you feel an instant difference, the throttle is a lot more responsive,
06:27it's, the motor does pull the car a little bit.
06:31Now in terms of the whole suspension feel, the whole set-up of the car, well, it is,
06:36the set-up is a little stiffer, the suspension set-up, but apart from that, it's not uncomfortable,
06:41like right now we aren't on the best road, we are, we do have a little, like small potholes,
06:46but it's not uncomfortable at all, you're still sitting fairly comfortably and the seat
06:52is also adjustable, 6-way adjustable for the driver and electronically adjustable, so that's
06:58front, back, up, down and you can also recline or straighten up your seat, depending on your
07:03comfort.
07:04Steering wheel is only tilt adjustable, not telescopic, so you can also set that based
07:10on your preference.
07:11So we also get level 2 ADAS on the Curve EV, a blind spot monitoring system and a 360 degree
07:16camera, again, just for the driver's benefit to make driving this a whole lot easier as,
07:25there have been many incidents where people have been in unfortunate situations due to
07:30not being able to see their blind spots, so the Curve just eliminates that and makes driving
07:35a whole lot easier.
07:37The same thing for the 360 degree camera, if you're getting yourself into some tight
07:40situations or if you have to park in a tight spot, you always have your 360 degree camera
07:46to help you gauge your surroundings to see where other, where the other vehicles are.
07:51Also, we get a 3-year warranty or a 1,25,000 kilometre warranty on the whole car itself,
07:57again, whichever comes earlier.
08:05So, all in all that, that's the Tata Curve EV, I hope you guys enjoyed this video, don't
08:10forget to like, comment and subscribe, my name is Vedant Johari, signing out.
