ABAP, bibigyang-pansin ang Boxing Grassroots Program sa Pilipinas

00:00The Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines is planning to increase the number of national boxers in the country
00:07to increase the chance of being able to form Filipino Olympians and Olympic medalists one day.

00:18The Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines, or ABAP,
00:21has asked for the attention of the Boxing Grassroots Program in the Philippines
00:25in order to discover potential boxers who will be able to bring glory to the country one day.
00:31A big proof of this is the 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Carlo Paalam
00:36and 2024 Paris Olympics bronze medalist Ira Villegas.
00:40ABAP Secretary General Marcos Manalo shared the importance of why they need to increase the number of their national training pool.
00:56Aside from insufficient human and financial resources,
01:00Manalo said that they also need strong support,
01:04just like the construction of provincial training centers in each province.
01:26We don't want to include all Filipino national games.
01:32ABAP is currently planning to ask for the attention of boxing Olympians
01:35while other members of the elite boxing team are competing in several international competitions
01:41in order to get adequate exposure.
