00:00Right, let's talk tea. Now, I am no stranger to a funky flavoured cup of tea because, if
00:16I bring this in, I have regularly got this in my cupboard and this one, so that's a biscuit
00:25brew from Yorkshire Tea and toast and jam tea from Yorkshire Tea and they've been around
00:33for a couple of years now and they were really the pioneers of the mainstream, bizarre tea
00:40flavours that you can get in most supermarkets and they're around the £2 mark, maybe slightly
00:45over. Now, recently, the ones that you can see in front of you, the Tetley ones, so the
00:50Lemon Drizzle, Digestive Biscuit and Chocolate and Mint Tart have been released. I saw them
00:56on the internet that they were available for £2.30 a packet, that's for 40 in each packet,
01:02in Morrisons, so I hot-footed it down to Morrisons in Preston, where I picked them up. Now, I'm
01:09going to have a try of them, show you the colour, talk to you about the taste and smell
01:17and tell you, basically, whether they're any good and how they compare to Yorkshire
01:21Tea, which, I shouldn't say, as a Lancashire girl, but Yorkshire Tea is the big daddy, isn't it?
01:32So, here are the three teas by their respective boxes. I've brewed them all for three minutes,
01:40as it suggests on the back of the packet and I've added a dash of milk and I do say a dash
01:46of milk because I like quite a strong brew. So, I'm going to take them one by one and tell you
01:51what my thoughts are, but for full transparency, I have tasted some of these throughout the week,
01:57it's not just what I think today. So, right, straight in with the big one because it's a
02:04direct competitor to the Yorkshire Tea's Biscuit Brew. It says, tea that tastes like digestive
02:11biscuit. Well, when you smell, when you open the box and you have a good sniff in there, yeah,
02:17it does, it smells like caramelly, it smells really nice. Drinking it, it tastes just like
02:24a normal cup of tea to me. I've hardly put any milk in there, but it tastes quite, quite weak.
02:30I don't know whether that's because it's Tetley and I'm used to drinking Yorkshire Tea and whether
02:37that's just a general difference, but honestly, that is a bit disappointing in comparison. Right,
02:43next up, Chocolate and Mint Tart. So, I will say that it smells quite minty, like a peppermint,
02:50like an after eight mint and that's what I'm kind of hoping it tastes of because when I think of
02:56chocolate and mint tart, they're the kind of flavours that are coming to mind. So, here we go.
03:07Actually, I have tried these in the week as well, it's not just now. Right, it tastes like
03:14peppermint tea. Can I taste chocolate? No, I'd be lying if I said I could. Can I taste tart,
03:20whatever that's meant to be, pastry? I don't know. No, it tastes like peppermint tea. Okay,
03:27so the last one, Lemon Drizzle Cake. Now, this was the one and a shout out to the lovely lady
03:33at Riversway Morrison's who was on the checkout when I bought these. She couldn't quite believe
03:38her eyes when these were going through the checkout. Whatever next, I think she said. So,
03:42Lemon Drizzle Cake and who doesn't like a Lemon Drizzle Cake? When I opened the packet, I've got
03:47to say out of all three of them, this was the one that did smell like a Lemon Drizzle Cake when I
03:54opened the packet to put the tea bag in. I've just had a quick taste. Once again, I wouldn't
04:03call that, if you'd have given me the cup of tea without the packet, I would have said, oh,
04:09it tastes of lemon. It does taste of lemon, not in a particularly nice way for me, that might just
04:16be personal preference. It tastes a little bit like someone slipped some kind of lemon flavoured
04:23washing up liquid in there. It's kind of cleaning, detergent, lemony fragrance. It's not a pleasant
04:31cakey lemon taste. And once again, all three of these, honestly, disappointing.
