00:00Somewhat.
00:01Dude, they look even better.
00:03That's the sad part.
00:04And you know, again, we talk about 2019, now you guys before the show were talking about,
00:09you know, if you could take a play away, take a play away, right?
00:13If you could take one play away in your lifetime, what would that play be?
00:17Now that I think about it, now that I think about it, that play for me, the play I would
00:21take away, 3rd and 15.
00:24I would redo 3rd and 15 in Super Bowl 54.
00:27So how does that change things?
00:29What's the domino, what's the butterfly effect after 3rd and 15?
00:32So after 3rd and 15, Kansas City is punting.
00:35They're punting down 20 to 10 with 7 minutes of change left.
00:39The Niners, in my opinion, are going to run off about 3 minutes o'clock, all right?
00:43They're winning that Super Bowl.
00:44The probability of them winning that Super Bowl by forcing a punt on 3rd and, after 3rd
00:49and 15.
00:50Probably right.
00:51They're winning that Super Bowl.
00:52So the butterfly effect is the Chiefs don't go back to the Super Bowl.
00:54All of a sudden, the Chiefs go back to the Super Bowl.
00:56Just like they did, hypothetically, everything else plays out the way it did the next season.
01:00And they lose to Tampa Bay.
01:01That's back-to-back Super Bowl losses for Kansas City.
01:04So then by the time they get back to the Super Bowl against Philadelphia, that pressure of
01:07winning that one Super Bowl, all of a sudden, there's a lot more pressure.
01:11There's a lot more chatter about Andy Reid not winning the big one.
01:14All of a sudden, Shanahan has won the big one.
01:16All of a sudden, Shanahan is a lot looser.
01:18Is Jimmy still here?
01:19Well, if Jimmy's here, the dialogue about Jimmy's completely different.
01:24You know what I'm saying?
01:25Everything changes.
01:27So if there was a play I would change, it's not the Roger Craig fumble.
01:31Even though I would love to change that in the NFC Championship game against the New
01:34York Giants when the Niners were trying to three-beat.
01:36It's not Richard Sherman, tip of the pass in the back of the end zone against Michael
01:41Crabtree.
01:42Malcolm Smith.
01:43Yeah.
01:44You know what I'm saying?
01:45It's third and 15 in the Super Bowl.
01:47What about the fade to Crabtree with Jimmy Smith?
01:52I would just change that whole sequence.
01:53That whole sequence is a disaster.
01:55By the time they got to fourth down, it's like, you got to throw.
01:58I don't know.
02:00I don't know.
02:01I never thought they-
02:02I think you owe it to yourself to run Kaepernick or Gore one time last year.
02:04We were going to run Kaepernick on the third down, but they had to call a timeout because
02:08of delay game.
02:12I would take away third and 15 in the Super Bowl 54.
02:14Wow.
02:15That's the one.
02:16That's the one.
02:17Third and 15.
02:18I think it changes that game.
02:21I think it changes the course of NFL history.
02:24I think it changes the way we see Patrick Holmes right now.
02:28I think it changes the way we look at Shanahan.
02:31It changes everything in the NFL.
02:33It alters the history of the NFL over the next five years.
02:37If you take away third and 15, Kent City's punning.
02:41That's the part for like, as I defend Kyle Shanahan, not just to you in like, we're talking
02:46about certain late game situations and things like that.
02:49Just in general, when I defend Kyle Shanahan, I think the margins are so razor thin that
02:55it's easy.
02:56Like he's an idiot.
02:57Oh, what's he doing?
02:58He's a choke artist.
02:59And it's like, well, hold up.
03:01They've won a zillion playoff games where they were not the better team nor had the
03:06better quarterback.
03:08They've won a ton of regular season games in a variety of ways of out coaching the opponent
03:12out physically in the opponent.
03:16And yeah, there are some, some things that he wants back.
03:19Show me a great coach and I'll show you a lot of fourth quarter mistakes.
03:22No doubt.
03:23And sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce in your direction.
03:25And I think about it all the time.
03:27Like, how would we view Jim Harbaugh different if he won that one Super Bowl?
03:30Where would where Kat be?
03:31Where would Frank Gore be?
03:32Where would Patrick Willis be?
03:33Right.
03:34But the whole 2019 Super Bowl.
03:38It lives in my head because it's such a woulda, coulda, shoulda.
03:42And it sparked the Kansas City dynasty.
03:45It sparked them.
03:46It changed everything for Andy Reed.
03:48Everything.
03:49888-957-9570.
03:50If there was one play you could change in your sports fandom, and I like this question
03:55a lot, Chesky, I really do.
03:58What would it be?
03:59It could be basketball.
04:00It could be like, would you change the at-bat with Felix Rodriguez against the Angels, right?
04:05Scott Tabbizio.
04:06Yeah.
04:07Well, I wouldn't flip the ball to Russert.
04:08You know, if I'm him, you know, but whatever.
04:11Like I've talked to Ace fans and the older Ace fans are like, yeah, I would have pitched
04:16around Kirk Gibson in that situation.
04:17It was like, wow, he was hurt.
04:19He wasn't playing.
04:20Like, okay, you know, I can see where you're coming on that one.
04:25You know, you talked about the 49ers and there's the whole Roger Craig fumble.
04:30Let's not forget, like Joe wins that one.
04:33He might've been not available for the Super Bowl.
04:36Yeah, no, it would have been Steve Young.
04:38Joe would have been out for the Super Bowl against the Buffalo Bills.
04:40Exactly.
04:41It would have been Steve Young.
04:42Think of how you look at Bill Parcells differently if they lose that game.
04:46And so there's a lot that goes into it.
04:48Scott Norwood, you know, because that was the wide right game after that.
04:51I think about that a lot.
04:53I think about how we would look at Seifert differently if he wins.
04:57He's the guy who wins the three in a row and two of them are on his watch.
05:01That's a big one.
05:02Giants lore.
05:03You know, what if JT Snow plows Yvonne Rodriguez and he drops the ball?
05:10And then it's Cubs-Giants and Dusty Baker.
05:14That situation, I wanted him to hold JT Snow because Rich Aurelio was on deck and Rich Aurelio
05:19was having himself a year.
05:21And Rich Aurelio, I wanted to have in that bat because he had a clutch gene to him.
05:25He just seemed like he was a clutch gene.
05:27I was like, just hold him.
05:29Hold him.
05:30I always think about what if, you know, Matt Morris isn't the one pitching at Chicago and
05:36he's pitching at AT&T Park in that series against the Cubs in 2016.
05:40Oh, Matt Moore?
05:41Matt Moore, excuse me.
05:42Matt Moore.
05:43He should have never been yanked.
05:44Game two should have been, it should have been Matt Moore instead of Shemarja.
05:48You're right.
05:49Shemarja was terrible on the road.
05:51By the way, we're going to qualify.
05:52Now's the time.
05:54All this week, we're giving you a chance to come in and have breakfast with the Roast.
05:57Friday, September 6th, they kick off the football season.
06:01Listen all this week because between now and eight o'clock, we're going to qualify two
06:06people.
06:07When you hear this sounder be the 10th caller, and the number is 415-523-4652.
06:16When you hear that sounder call 415-523-4652, and you will qualify to have breakfast with
06:23the Roast.
06:24Breakfast provided by Jack's Restaurant.
06:26One more before we go.
06:28What if Steph Curry doesn't go around the back to Klay Thompson out of bounds?
06:31I think the play that we all want to change is LeBron block.
06:35What if Iguodala makes the layup?
06:38What if he dunks it?
06:39Well, he was going to dunk it, but J.R. Smith made a great play to make him double pump.
06:44So that is it.
06:45What if Harrison Barnes hits a shot?
06:47What if Anson Shemarja doesn't play in the first half?
06:50What if Festus doesn't?
06:51I love him.
06:52But what if he doesn't foul LeBron on the three point?
06:54LeBron was cold in that game.
06:55And he hit all three free throws.
06:57LeBron was 9-25 in that basketball game.
06:59I'll never forget.
07:00I'm not going to bring that up.
07:01Festus is not going to be hanging out tomorrow.
07:04Festus, I didn't bring that up.
07:06I told you I like him.
07:07I didn't bring it up, Festus.
07:08Just don't leave your feet.
07:09Let's go.
07:10Let me hear some people.
07:11Cadillac in the town.
07:12What's up, Cadillac?
07:13Cadillac in the town.
07:14What's up, baby?
07:15Top of the morning, fellas.
07:16How y'all doing today?
07:17Good, man.
07:18Good, Cadillac.
07:19Man, my sports moment, and it definitely would have changed the history of the NFL,
07:25the Tucker rule, baby.
07:26Tom Brady probably wouldn't be who he is.
07:28The Raiders probably would have won the Super Bowl because they, I mean, they was killing
07:32that year.
07:33But in that moment, it changed history for sure, and they even made up a rule for that
07:40play.
07:41Yeah.
07:42No, you're right.
07:43You're right.
07:44That's a hell of a play.
07:45That's a hell of a play.
07:46Let's go to Zach in Redwood City.
07:47Zach, what's happening?
07:48Hey, what's good, Bonte?
07:49What's up, Zach?
07:50What's up, Zach?
07:51What's up, Zach?
07:52Still waiting on that NCAA matchup, but one play that you didn't bring up is the Joukowsky
07:57tart drop pick.
07:58Oh, that's a good one.
07:59That was in his hand.
08:00I would have went for it on fourth down, though.
08:01But you know what, though?
08:02Yeah.
08:03You know what, though?
08:04Right before the punt, where they pinned him in.
08:05But you know what, though?
08:06You're right, Zach.
08:07That play felt like it was the game.
08:08It did.
08:09Because I told Rocco right before the play, before that jam, I said, Stafford's going
08:10to throw one up.
08:11I know.
08:12And I asked Rocco, too, this day, I told him, I was like, yo, Stafford's going to throw
08:13one up.
08:14I was like, yo, Stafford's going to throw one up.
08:15I was like, yo, Stafford's going to throw one up.
08:17You don't have 30 minutes for my guy?
08:43Recruiting takes some time.
08:44It's strategic.
08:45I had a sick class. I finally, I nailed it, dude. I cracked the code. I cracked the code.
08:51What if Giambi slides?
08:52He was safe anyways if they had instant replay. 415, Xfinity mobile text sign, Malcolm Butler
08:58pic. You should have ran it with Marshawn. Like, that's all time.
09:00All time.
09:01What are you doing?
09:02My favorite meme.
09:03And Marshawn is laughing about it on the sideline. He's like, okay, fine.
09:06My favorite meme was the, it was like Pete Carroll as a McDonald's, you know, drive-thru
09:11guy. And it's him leaning out the window. They had like Photoshopped his face. It's
09:15like, would you like me to hand this to you or step back seven yards and fire it at you?
09:19That's pretty good.
09:20Isn't that good? It's really good.
09:22And Sherman's face after it's one of the great memes ever.
09:26Iconic.
09:27You know what? We had Doug Hendrickson, Marshawn Lynch's agent on when you were out that Friday.
09:32They talked about that on their podcast, Politicking. Gavin Newsom, Doug Hendrickson, and Marshawn
09:37Lynch. It's actually, the fact that they got Marshawn on the podcast is pretty remarkable,
09:42but I think they discussed that play in the latest episode. He teased it. He goes, we're
09:46going to get into that. And I don't think Marshawn Lynch was a fan of that play call.
09:49I don't think he was a fan of that.
09:51He was like a yak. Yards after contact, you can't stop the guy. Like, what are you doing?
09:57And it is the conspiracy theory that they wanted to give the MVP to Russ and not Marshawn.
10:02That's why they did it.
10:03I kind of believe it.
10:04One thing that I think about, and this is fair or not, one play that I think for the
10:08Warriors, if you're a Warrior fan, like the Danny Green-Clay play.
10:12Yeah, I was just going to go with that.
10:13You know, the Danny Green-Clay play lives in my head forever. Look, I don't think Danny
10:18Green meant to hurt him, but I did think it was a borderline dirty play, period.
10:22Yeah, it was. I do too.
10:23I don't think he maliciously was trying to injure him, but it's one of those plays, he's
10:27up in the air. I just, ah, I think about what it could have should have. And Clay and Bowman
10:33are two guys that I think about nonstop. What would their careers have been had they, like,
10:38not that they got injured.
10:39Clay was injured in his prime, dude.
10:40They got injured in the worst fashion. The worst way.
10:45It was prime years, man.
10:46You robbed a man of his youth.
10:48This is one, keep it to faith, on YouTube. The sixth play for the 49ers, the Purdy-Tommy
10:54John play.
10:55Wow.
10:56Where Hassan Redick with the elbow.
10:57Wow. I mean, do they beat the Chiefs that year?
11:02I think the Niners beat the Eagles.
11:04I don't even know if they beat the Eagles.
11:06I was fully confident walking into that football game. I was. I don't know why I was.
11:10Would we have been able to get out okay if they won that game?
11:12Probably not. Well, we would have celebrated for a long time. We probably would have got
11:14out our ass kicked, but that's okay. I would have took an ass beating for that win.
11:20Oh, man, I would have loved that.
11:22I'll be in Philly next week.
11:26Thinking about bringing a Niner hat or two.
11:29Peace.
11:32415-523-4652. Be caller number 10.
11:36This is the first of two opportunities in the next 15 minutes to qualify to win a spot
11:41for breakfast with the roast.
11:43Brought to you by Jack's Restaurant.
11:45You're coming live in studio. We'll have some fun.
11:47We'll do some things with the microphone.
11:49415-523-4652 is the number.
11:53All right, we got a couple more here.
11:54Brian in Key West.
11:55Out there in Key West, baby, what up?
11:57What's up, what's up? Good morning, gentlemen.
11:59You guys are the best, by the way.
12:01You guys bring therapy here all the way down in Key West.
12:03My wife and I are realtors here, so if you're coming to the Keys, definitely hit us up.
12:07The one that sings the most is the Kyle Williams must punch.
12:11That one, I can't get over that.
12:14And I think Eli Manning's performance in that game proved he was,
12:17that was one of the best performances and one of the strongest,
12:20strongest men-man moments ever.
12:23To muscle through that, that defensive line was, that was epic.
12:27He evaded probably 15 sacks in that game by throwing the ball away.
12:32I contend in that game alone, in that game alone,
12:35there's the Brett Swain play down the sideline where it's like,
12:37what are we doing?
12:38There's the Kyle Williams multiple muffs.
12:41There's the Ahmed Bradshaw overtime fumble where Bowman rips it out
12:45like he's pulling the guitar string.
12:47There are so many woulda, coulda, shoulda plays.
12:50Aldon Smith and Justin Smith and Ahmed Brooks were dominant in that game.
12:54Dominant.
12:55Raymond Dahl was phenomenal in that game.
12:57That, I think, is probably the most painful loss as a 49er fan in my lifetime.
13:03That game right there.
13:04Who got knocked out in that game?
13:05Was it Terrell Brown?
13:06It was Terrell Brown.
13:07They were going for an interception and he got knocked out.
13:09So Tremaine Brock replaced him.
13:12And on third down, they pinpointed Tremaine Brock and Mario Manningham
13:15scored a touchdown on a third down.
13:18So, I don't even really like talk, I honestly don't like talking about that game.
13:23I contend that's the worst walk out of a stadium in my life.
13:27In terms of losses.
13:28It's a very, very painful loss in my lifetime.
13:32Like, I don't, honestly, I don't, you don't really hear me bring that game up.
13:37Vernon Davis scores in the first quarter and jumps on the light well.
13:40And I'm thinking, we're going to the Super Bowl.
13:42We're going to the Super Bowl.
13:43Like a 70-yard play to start the game.
13:46All the vibes are there.
13:47The fog was so dewy, like the drizzle was coming down.
13:50It wasn't raining per se.
13:52It was like drizzling, because you know that light rain?
13:54And it was like, this is candlestick.
13:56Oh, God.
13:57Again, it's, I don't discuss that game at all.
14:01I just don't.
14:02I remember, it's like, so, I watched most, I watched all the Niner games
14:06at home that year.
14:08By myself.
14:10And I listened to the Philly Zoo and I'm going to blame him for this.
14:14Because I got the alert from Mayoko that Teagan Jr. wasn't going to play.
14:17And I was going to watch the game by myself again.
14:20And he goes, oh, you've got to go up the street and watch it with some
14:22fellow Niner fans.
14:23You've got to go up the street and watch it with, and I stood up in this
14:25dude's house the whole time, Jake Hutchinson.
14:27And they were like, you want to sit down?
14:28I was like, nah, I'm good.
14:30Like, I'm good.
14:31And when Kyle Williams had the second fumble, I walked straight out of the
14:34house.
14:35I had left my wallet there and everything.
14:36Got in the car, drove down the street.
14:38And I turned on the radio and Ted Robinson was like, and the kick is good
14:41from Lyon Signs, we're going to the Super Bowl.
14:43It is the most painful loss of my lifetime.
14:45I started, it was the next semester, a new semester of school the next day
14:48with SF State.
14:49SF State, our new semester started the very next day.
14:52I walked into one, I had one class that day.
14:54I walked in, I grabbed my syllabus and the teacher goes, oh yeah, I would
14:57like everybody to sit here.
14:58I said, I'm not sitting here today.
15:00And I had my pajamas on and I had a hoodie.
15:03I grabbed the syllabus and I went straight back home.
15:05Did you even explain what happened?
15:07No, I just was like, I'm grabbing the syllabus, I'll see you Wednesday.
15:10That is always my favorite when people don't realize, they're not
15:13into the sports world at all.
15:15And they realize how insane you are from the outside.
15:17And they're like, why are you so angry?
15:19It's just a game.
15:21It's just a game.
15:23I don't discuss that NFC Championship game.
15:27It puts me in a very, very dark place.
15:30It's the most painful loss I've had in my adulthood.
15:33It's more painful than the Super Bowls.
15:35It's honest to God, it's more painful than the Super Bowls.
15:37Alex makes one play in that game, we win.
15:40One for 13 on the third down?
15:42Just one play.
15:44In my head, the following year when Antro rolls, we just come up.
15:47Everything's seven yards and in.
15:49Oh yeah, that's what he said the next, the regular season game.
15:52I remember it was at that game.
15:54We just play everything up.
15:56They beat the Niners 27-3.
15:58And Ahmed Bradshaw at the end of the game was like, to beat it man,
16:00you gotta beat the man.
16:02And guess what? We still are the man.
16:04And I was like, damn, they are the man.
16:06And it was 27-3.
16:08And that's what Antro Rolls said.
16:10You could watch that game and it goes,
16:12Kaepernick actually, he got in the game at the end of the first half,
16:14and he threw a seam route to Mario Manningham
16:16to get in the field goal range.
16:18But they were like, yeah,
16:20we don't have to worry about anything past 10 yards.
16:22And I think that was the game
16:24Jim Harbaugh basically said,
16:26I need to do something different
16:28at the quarterback position.
16:30We thought we had to go through the New York Giants that year.
16:32And little did we know they would kind of fall off that year.
16:34They did.
16:36The woulda, coulda, shouldas, man.
16:38They're all over the place.
16:40I don't want to talk about the energy temperature game no more.
16:42What about this?
16:44What if Burford actually blocks
16:46and they score a touchdown on that first
16:48overtime possession?
16:50I was thinking about that like crazy.
16:52All offseason.
16:54Let's go to Kurt in Oakland. He's got one.
16:56Kurt in Oakland, what's happening?
16:58Hey guys, thanks for taking my call.
17:00This is one play
17:02that changed a lot of rules in the NFL
17:04where it was with the Raiders
17:06playing the Chargers. I forgot the exact year
17:08but Jamarcus Russell was still the quarterback
17:10and he threw it to Lewis Murphy
17:12against the Chargers and Lewis Murphy
17:14had two feet down in the end zone and full possession
17:16of the ball but Quinton Jammer
17:18still hits him and then he falls
17:20over and loses the ball
17:22and then they changed that rule to say you had to have
17:24full possession on the way down on the ground.
17:26And it's like he clearly had
17:28full possession at two feet down so he was already
17:30in the end zone, in the middle of the end zone
17:33and Jammer still knocked him over
17:35even though the play was technically over
17:37and they changed the rule because of that.
17:39That affected maybe Des Bryant in Green Bay, huh?
17:41Yes.
17:43That happened
17:45later on in that year when the Des Bryant
17:47play happened
17:49but the Lewis Murphy one was the one that started it.
17:51It started it because I remember
17:53didn't Megatron too, Kurt, on the season opener
17:55Soldier Field, Megatron got called
17:57for something like that. He had the ball
17:59but he lost it on the ground
18:01during that process
18:03and they reviewed it and the Lions went crazy
18:05because they overturned the call and they gave
18:07the Bears a win basically.
18:09Yeah, that was probably one of them
18:11but this is the one that I fully remember more
18:13where it was like, because it was on Monday Night Football
18:15and that's when they really enforced it.
18:17Got it, got it, got it.
18:19I don't know why that bothers him so much.
18:21DeMarcus Russell stinks.
18:23It's not changing anything.
18:25It's a good point. 3-4-1.
18:27Guy McIntyre.
18:29That's touchdown on the first possession of the game.
18:317-0 Niners.
18:33Changed the whole mood of the game.
18:35Even though it was early
18:37but you know what's another
18:39I got another one for you guys.
18:41Devontae Smith.
18:43When he didn't catch the pass in the NFC Championship game
18:45and Kyle Shanahan for some reason
18:47was waiting on a replay from the Philadelphia Stadium
18:49leaking financial field. Just throw the flag.
18:51Throw the red flag.
18:53Throw it.
18:55It was fourth down. Throw it.
18:58The Eagle fans were already rattled.
19:00They don't catch that? You get the ball and it's 0-0?
19:02What the hell? Now there's a lot of ball game left
19:04and I can hear starting to, oh it's 31-7.
19:06It was a very close game.
19:08Late in the first half.
19:10It was 14-7 after they scored.
19:12The Niners are going out for two minutes.
19:14They try to hit Debo. He almost breaks the tackle.
19:16Then the next play, Josh Johnson fumbles with the snap
19:18and you know, from what you hear
19:20is that Josh Johnson is not
19:22ready to play that football game.
19:24He's just not ready.
19:26I'd be optimistic 30 days, but he's like
19:28come on Bonte, we can still win this.
19:32And I'm sitting there the whole, what was I doing?
19:34Josh Johnson in the NFC Championship game.
19:36And then McCaffrey scored
19:38and the entire stadium sat down
19:40and I go, it's one of the greatest
19:4249er runs I've ever seen. It was.
19:44He broke like 50 tackles.
19:46And me and Bonte stood up and we were high-fiving
19:48and I was like, dude, the sniper's going to get us from the upper row
19:50at some point, somehow, someway.
19:52Dude, that was a scene
19:54in Philadelphia. And then they started calling
19:56the Phantom holding calls and the Phantom pass interferences.
19:58Oh, the third down one.
20:00Yes.
20:02I thought we were physical.
20:04I turned into an Eagle fan. I go, I thought this was the East Coast.
20:06I thought you guys were tough.
20:08Physical, that was soft.
20:10Devin in the Uber.
20:12Devin in the Uber, what's happening?
20:14What play would you take away, Devin?
20:16Devin, what's the play you're
20:18taking away, Devin? One play.
20:21The play where Derek Carr
20:23got his leg broken, man.
20:25I was in the
20:27stadium. When I tell you
20:29we were celebrating, we were partying.
20:31Obviously, we think we're going to the Super Bowl
20:33every year, right? The delusional part of us.
20:35We think that.
20:37But that year was very special.
20:39And the game was
20:41already kind of solidified.
20:43We were just playing the clock, really.
20:45And when he
20:47got his leg broken, I believe
20:50it was Donald Penn, Ms. Block.
20:52Man, you can hear
20:54I will never forget, you can hear
20:56a pin drop. Everybody
20:58gas, everybody, and all I hear
21:00is, it's over.
21:02And then all of a sudden, everybody's like whining
21:04and sorrow.
21:06Bro, that broke my heart.
21:08Now, my heart is kind of pounding.
21:10So, that would be the play for me.
21:12You know what? That's a hell of a play, Devin.
21:14Because I was in the press box for that game.
21:16And the Raiders were rolling.
21:19They were on their way to getting a bye week.
21:21Andrew Luck.
21:23They were getting a bye week.
21:25They were going to beat the Broncos the next week.
21:27Get the bye week.
21:29And probably host the Pittsburgh Steelers
21:31in a Saturday night game
21:33at the Oakland Coliseum.
21:35I remember because that was my first year
21:37of the Afternoon Delight.
21:39And my host at the time, Pop,
21:41co-host, Pop was like, you've got to get ready
21:43for New England.
21:45I felt the exact same way.
21:48Donald Penn gave up all season long.
21:50Dude, the only sack he gave up all season long.
21:52Crabtree was out of the game at that point.
21:54They didn't really need to throw it because
21:56they were up so big.
21:58And I remember going to the presser.
22:00Jack Del Rio opened the presser.
22:02Derek Harvey out for the season.
22:04Broke a fibula.
22:06Like, right away.
22:08No waiting, no nothing.
22:10And it was like, damn.
22:12Season's over.
22:14I'm going to throw one in here.
22:17That was game over.
22:19It was not a P.I.
22:21Miami should have won that game.
22:23I was 10 when that play happened.
22:25I don't really remember that game that much.
22:27I was locked in on Miami at that time.
22:29Knowing how that loss
22:31just torpedoed that program
22:33in the 22 years since,
22:35I would undo that play every day of the week.
22:37That call was so late, too.
22:39They were already celebrating.
22:41Fireworks were going off.
22:43And they threw the Phantom flag.
22:45Different dynasties that have happened
22:47over the last 40 or 50 years
22:49and certain plays
22:51that if I took that play out
22:53I don't even think the dynasty happens.
22:55And you tell me if I'm right or wrong
22:57on some of these.
22:59That's literally on my list.
23:01How about the Kyrie injury?
23:03What if Kyrie never gets hurt?
23:05Kyrie in game one,
23:07I don't know if the Warriors win that series.
23:09Maybe the Warriors don't win
23:11and don't become a dynasty.
23:13What about Brooks Conrad?
23:15What if Brooks Conrad doesn't blunder that ball
23:17at second base?
23:19Pick any one of them.
23:21What if the Brady-Vinatieri-Tuck rule?
23:23Because that sparked their dynasty.
23:25What about Pujolsoft-Bradledge?
23:27Are we sure the Cardinals are a three-time champion
23:29in the 2000s?
23:31What about...
23:33Bradledge was one of the baddest dudes on the planet.
23:35Was it Nelson Cruz in the outfield
23:37in game six against the Cardinals?
23:39David Freeze.
23:41Twice they were a strike away in that game.
23:43What about the Dwight Clark catch?
23:45What if that never happens?
23:47What if he drops that ball?
23:49And then the other one that I had on my list,
23:51Dave Roberts in the steal.
23:53What if Dave Roberts doesn't
23:55get into that steal at second base
23:57and he's out and the Yankees
23:59go on to win. Do the Red Sox ever win?
24:03I don't know if they win.
24:05I don't know, but those are pivotal moments
24:07and that's how fickle it is.
24:09That's how fickle sports are.
24:11One play can change the course of history.
24:13There's got to be more than that.
24:15There's a lot more than that.
24:17The 3rd and 15, again,
24:19it sparked Kansas City.
24:213rd and 15 is what it goes back to.
24:23The Niners are rolling.
24:25We're at a 95-70 game.
24:27Everybody's getting ready to go to a party afterwards.
24:29We're going to do the show.
24:31And 3rd and 15 happened.
