Passports of Alice Guo, family reported to PH Center on Transnational Crime; Senate to probe how Guo allegedly slipped out of PH

00:00Simply put, the proverbial news has tightened even more and dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.
00:05As the Department of Foreign Affairs or DFA has notified the Philippine Center for Transnational
00:10Crime that the former local chief executive has left the country, even with cases pending against
00:16her. This move would eventually render her Philippine passport useless, which would help
00:21authorities bring her to justice. Daniel Maralastas tells us more.
00:25The Department of Foreign Affairs has reported the passport of dismissed Mayor Alice Guo
00:33and her relatives to the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime. In other words,
00:38it was already reported to Interpol or the International Criminal Police Organization,
00:44as per Senator Risa Contivero's statement.
00:55For now, the Senate is all set to conduct an investigation on how Guo
01:24allegedly slipped out of the country under the noses of immigration and airport officials,
01:30as they want to know who is at fault or remiss on their duties on the job.
01:54Senate President Francis Escudero said that for now, a review of the case to be filed against
02:16Guo is in order.
02:25The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, meanwhile,
02:33weighing in on what might happen next.
02:55and that would allow the law enforcement agencies to arrest them and transfer them to the Philippines.
