00:14It became the center of discussion in the special edition of the Philippine Sports Writers' Association Forum

00:21this Thursday, the Philippine campaign in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

00:26It was led by Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Richard Bachman

00:31who gave his assessment on the performance of our athletes in the Olympics.

00:36If I would happily break the team Philippines' performance in the Olympics to medals,

00:43then I would give it a gold.

00:45Bachman also allocated the PSC of Php 158 million since 2023

00:53to support the national sports associations for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

00:59The role of government right now with the Olympics is financial assistance to all these NSAs,

01:06to all these sports.

01:08And I'm happy to report that from 2023, we will be funding all these NSAs and sports

01:18of trying to qualify into the Olympics.

01:22As for the PSC's plans for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics,

01:28this is what Bachman said.

01:30Right now for 2028, we will just continue with our mandate to improve our grassroots,

01:40to improve our facilities.

01:42After the 2024 Paris Olympics, the PSC will continue to support our athletes

01:50and strengthen Philippine sports.
