00:00Your character, Sazh, is at the center of the crime this season.
00:03What can you tease about how her role has expanded in season four?
00:06Well, we get to see the friendship between Steve Charles and Sazh,
00:11and that is revealed in all of its glory,
00:14and it is a beautiful, moving relationship,
00:18their devotion to each other,
00:20and especially Sazh's devotion to Charles,
00:24and Charles learns just exactly how, over the years,
00:28Sazh has given her all for her number one,
00:32and she'd do it all over again.
00:34She'd do it every day.
00:36What's your relationship like with Steve behind the scenes?
00:39What's it like working with him?
00:40It's great, and we live in the same town, so I see him a lot.
00:43It's really wonderful.
00:45We really enjoy each other.
00:47I hope he enjoys me. I think he does.
00:49I love mimicking his movements,
00:51like I'll watch him when we're rehearsing the scene,
00:54and if he does something with his glasses or he folds his,
00:57I'll make sure that I mimic him like I'm a mirror.
01:01What's it like being on set with him, Marty, and Selena?
01:04It's really nice. They're the most wonderful people.
01:06They're all smart.
01:08We get very deep very fast,
01:11and we all love what we do,
01:13so every time I get to join their merry little band of actors,
01:18I'm so happy.
01:20Selena has said this is the most exciting season of the show so far.
01:24How would you say this season takes the show to the next level?
01:27Well, the great thing about Only Murders in the Building
01:29is each season has its own completely different tone,
01:34and this season we get into Hollywood
01:37and the Hollywoodization of things,
01:40and we get into the stunt person world.
01:42We get deep into that.
01:44So yeah, it's got some Hollywood aspects of it,
01:47but it's also in the building a lot.
01:50Do you get all the scripts at the beginning of the season,
01:53or do you find out what's happening as it goes?
01:55We find out as we go,
01:57although John Hoffman, our showrunner,
01:59has kind of whispered some things to me in the beginning,
02:01but not everything.
02:03We don't get all the scripts,
02:05but they've reversed engineer it.
02:07They know what they're doing.
02:09They're pretty sure, as far as I know,
02:11they're pretty sure how this is going to unfold.
02:13But for you it's a surprise in the end.
02:15For me, almost a complete surprise.
02:17Almost a complete surprise.
