00:00:00There's some artists that brave the voice stage, that have a lot of experience.
00:00:15I've been singing around the world, living in different countries.
00:00:18Started playing piano when I was about 13.
00:00:21Absolutely love busking.
00:00:22I've been singing since I was four.
00:00:24We know how hard it is to break into the industry.
00:00:30Timing is super important.
00:00:32Feel like I'm ready.
00:00:33This is the time to do it.
00:00:34There's nothing to lose.
00:00:35You can do something great.
00:00:36You just have that feedback.
00:00:37It's super powerful.
00:00:38A lot of the time the key is actually not to screw too much with what they're doing.
00:00:51It's to add a bit of refinement and polish and give them confidence.
00:00:56The genre that I'm going to be singing is very misunderstood and I'm here to change
00:01:00that.
00:01:01Tonight.
00:01:02That was insane.
00:01:03The coaches are blown away.
00:01:04That is like a perfect voice.
00:01:05We're sexy and badass.
00:01:06And I've been waiting for a voice like yours.
00:01:07As one hopeful artist.
00:01:08I've been doing this show for quite a few years.
00:01:23I've never seen anything like that.
00:01:25Has them playing hardball.
00:01:26I came here for you.
00:01:27You need the right coach.
00:01:28I've been waiting for a voice like yours.
00:01:29You belong in my team.
00:01:30Guy Sebastian.
00:01:31Why I oughta.
00:01:32I'm Tom Leeming.
00:01:49I'm 29 and I'm living on the Gold Coast.
00:01:52I've worked odd jobs here and there.
00:01:54I've worked in a mortgage brokerage, superannuation company.
00:01:57The moment I am running a car detailing business.
00:02:01Terrible line of work.
00:02:02But obviously you need to pay the bills.
00:02:07But I always find myself wanting to come back to music.
00:02:22I taught myself to play piano when I was a kid.
00:02:28I love gigging.
00:02:29Absolutely love busking.
00:02:30I'm always writing music and trying to come up with new things.
00:02:36Producing music and creating music exactly as you feel.
00:02:39And that's what I want to do with my life and what's important to me.
00:02:43My career hasn't taken off yet.
00:02:46The Voice is a monumental moment for me and it's a huge opportunity.
00:02:53This would be a great stepping stone.
00:02:56Moving back into music and really making a career of it.
00:03:02For my blind audition, I'm singing a song by one of the biggest bands that people have
00:03:06heard of.
00:03:07Multiple amazing hits.
00:03:10One of their biggest songs.
00:03:15I'll connect to this song because it's about struggle.
00:03:19I'll be playing the piano, trying to play the right chords, sing the right notes.
00:03:24It's daunting.
00:03:27If no one turns, I'd be very disheartened.
00:03:33I want to give it my all.
00:03:43I'm nervous.
00:03:49Take your time.
00:03:56I made it.
00:04:26I made it.
00:04:57I get down on my knees and I start to pray.
00:05:02Tears fall down from my eyes, Lord.
00:05:11Can anybody find me somebody to love?
00:05:26You.
00:05:57What's your name?
00:06:01I'm Tom.
00:06:02I'm 29.
00:06:03I'm from Gold Coast.
00:06:04Tom, I feel like if I ever need a day off, I mean, from touring, I know who to call.
00:06:09That was fantastic.
00:06:10Thank you very much.
00:06:11And you played the piano live.
00:06:13It was such a tender approach to the song, which I really liked.
00:06:17You know, I've been working with Queen for a long time now.
00:06:20I've done a couple of shows like this and people come on and they sing it.
00:06:23They either sing it how they think I want to hear it or they sing it just like Freddie sang it.
00:06:27And what I loved what you just did was you definitely made it you.
00:06:30It was from yourself, your heart.
00:06:33I could hear you in it.
00:06:34I couldn't sing it how Freddie sang it to save his life.
00:06:36Neither can I.
00:06:37I get what you mean.
00:06:38I know.
00:06:39I know what you mean.
00:06:40But I love that you made it your own.
00:06:42That was really cool.
00:06:43Really tender.
00:06:46How long have you been singing?
00:06:48Long while, really.
00:06:49Probably started taking it seriously about 13.
00:06:52Doing it forever.
00:06:53And you can hear it.
00:06:54It's what you love.
00:06:56Really, really lovely.
00:06:57Appreciate it.
00:07:00I would love to work with you.
00:07:01Yeah.
00:07:02By the way, I just want to point out I was the first one to turn around.
00:07:05Just saying.
00:07:06For the moment you opened your mouth, the guy and I looked at each other and were like,
00:07:09oh yeah, you immediately got me.
00:07:11And you know what I loved about your voice is it felt so comforting.
00:07:13It felt familiar.
00:07:15Like I had heard you before.
00:07:17It felt like I just wanted to kind of sit back and listen to how smooth everything was.
00:07:23You really do have something special.
00:07:25And I appreciate your talent.
00:07:27I would love, love to work with you.
00:07:29Because I really do believe you can pretty much do anything.
00:07:31And so it would be fun to see where you want to go.
00:07:33Yeah.
00:07:35Love that.
00:07:37Tell me a bit about you.
00:07:39I've done a lot of busking.
00:07:40A lot of gigs.
00:07:41A lot of weddings.
00:07:42Busking was very much people are stopping to see you.
00:07:45You're kind of creating a show.
00:07:47So that's what felt best.
00:07:49They're stopping to see you if you're good.
00:07:51Or if you're not good, they kind of avoid you.
00:07:54They keep walking, that's it.
00:07:56But you are really good.
00:08:00Really good.
00:08:01Thank you very much.
00:08:02And it takes courage to sing that in front of somebody like Adam,
00:08:06who you know like nails, nails that song.
00:08:09Tremendously.
00:08:10And, you know, I could tell there were some moments where you were nervous.
00:08:14Yeah.
00:08:15I could hear that you're such a seasoned musician.
00:08:18By the choices that you make, you're a feeling singer.
00:08:21Yeah.
00:08:22You know, people at home would have felt things.
00:08:24It was like little shivers and goosebumps.
00:08:26And they're my favourite kind of singer.
00:08:28So I would love you on Team Guy.
00:08:30Thank you very much.
00:08:32APPLAUSE
00:08:34I love the magical stillness that you get at the piano
00:08:39where it is so calming.
00:08:41It's like stepping into a warm bath of sound.
00:08:44Your voice is so rich and full of air and texture.
00:08:49Did you do that arrangement yourself?
00:08:51Yes.
00:08:52For me, that's what really stood out,
00:08:54the fact that you've taken this song that everybody knows
00:08:57and really you dove deep into that sad lyric
00:09:01because it is a sad song about loneliness.
00:09:05It's like I can't believe I've never heard a cover
00:09:08of that song done in that way before.
00:09:10But you are a storyteller and I was moved.
00:09:13So thank you very much.
00:09:14Thank you very much.
00:09:16Thank you, guys.
00:09:18And I think you should join my team because obviously,
00:09:21I mean, it's ridiculous on some levels
00:09:23to sit here next to Adam and pitch to you.
00:09:26But I do play piano.
00:09:28Unfortunately, Adam doesn't.
00:09:30I do not.
00:09:31We could have a lot of fun together on Team Kate.
00:09:34APPLAUSE
00:09:35Thank you all.
00:09:39Decisions, decisions, decisions.
00:09:42Yeah.
00:09:45Louder, louder.
00:09:48Come on.
00:09:49Yeah.
00:09:50Let's hear it.
00:09:53Definitely need to follow your heart, for sure.
00:09:56Follow your intuition.
00:10:00Thanks, Dad.
00:10:05But who to choose?
00:10:06That's the problem.
00:10:30I think I'm going to have to go with Adam.
00:10:33Oh, thank you.
00:10:34Wow.
00:10:35Oh, my God.
00:10:38That's very flattering.
00:10:39Thank you so much.
00:10:40Nice to meet you, too.
00:10:41That was beautiful.
00:10:43Well, that's a bit sad.
00:10:45It's a nice bit.
00:10:47We're going to have fun together.
00:10:48Yeah.
00:10:49Rock star time.
00:10:50Yeah, yeah.
00:10:51It's going to be good.
00:10:52Yeah, yeah.
00:10:54Yeah, yeah.
00:10:56APPLAUSE
00:11:01Well done, Adam.
00:11:02Yes.
00:11:03Well done.
00:11:04I think that's it.
00:11:05Round up Team Adam here.
00:11:06Now a new flavor, which is nice.
00:11:07Yeah, that is a new flavor.
00:11:08New flavor, yeah.
00:11:09I'm interested to see what he does want from you.
00:11:10Probably wants you to bring out things that he doesn't know he has, you know?
00:11:13Heels.
00:11:14Yeah.
00:11:15He needs some heels.
00:11:16Yeah, he needs some heels.
00:11:17Yeah, absolutely.
00:11:18Good pair of platforms.
00:11:19Yeah, but maybe push into some showmanship, maybe.
00:11:21I think you're right.
00:11:22Maybe that's what he wants.
00:11:23Maybe he does want to step away from the piano.
00:11:25That's, yeah, I'm wondering, yeah.
00:11:26That might be part of it.
00:11:28Oh, my boy.
00:11:29Hello.
00:11:31Oh, calm down.
00:11:32You'll be all right.
00:11:34Oh, you're up in there as well.
00:11:36Well, I thought that was fantastic.
00:11:38Yeah, it was.
00:11:39It really was.
00:11:40I got four chairs.
00:11:41I mean, I'm extremely grateful for it.
00:11:43It's incredible, really.
00:11:44I thought I'd be lucky if I got one, really.
00:11:47So to get all four of them is, yeah, crazy.
00:11:52Come on.
00:11:54Well, if you're getting me to cry, that was good.
00:11:58You'll be all right.
00:11:59Oh, God.
00:12:00All right.
00:12:08I'm Cade.
00:12:09I'm 17 and I'm from Toowoomba.
00:12:15Dad was playing music at a rodeo
00:12:18and I discovered bull riding.
00:12:22My first time I got on lasted about two seconds
00:12:25and loved it since.
00:12:29All the adrenaline and the excitement of it,
00:12:32it's just like something you've never felt before.
00:12:35As soon as you yell the words,
00:12:37I'm ready, that's when it all hits you.
00:12:42All you can see is the bull's head.
00:12:45Everything around it doesn't matter.
00:12:48The adrenaline takes over
00:12:50and you've got that extra bit of strength
00:12:53and it's something else.
00:13:00When you come off a bull,
00:13:02the main thing to do is...
00:13:06just run.
00:13:07Just run like the wind.
00:13:11My passion for music originated from Dad
00:13:14just showing me a few chords in the bedroom one day
00:13:17and then from there I kept developing.
00:13:22Bull riding, it's life or death.
00:13:24The voice, it's something different.
00:13:27You either make it or you don't.
00:13:33I hope this is going to go well.
00:13:36I'm going to have a crack and just have fun.
00:13:45Here he comes.
00:13:49Go, Ty!
00:13:58Go, Ty!
00:14:20Bull riding, it's life or death.
00:14:23The voice, it's something different.
00:14:26different. You either make it or you don't. I'm gonna have a crack and just have fun.
00:14:56Welcome strangers to the show. I'm the one who should be lying. Lost all the knives out. Turned my back. Heard the train come. Stay right on that track.
00:15:10In the middle, in the middle, in the middle of a dream. I lost my shirt, I put on my rings. I done all the dumping.
00:15:21Did you know this song? No. Aussie classic. Caught a fever. Heard the tune. Thought I loved her. Hung my heart on the moon.
00:15:31Started howling. Made no sense. Thought my friends would rush to my defense. In the middle, in the middle, in the middle of a dream.
00:15:43Well, I lost my shirt, I put on my rings. I done all the dumping. Well, I melted wax to fix my wings. I done all the dumping.
00:15:56Well, I threw my hat into the ring. I done all the dumping. Well, I thought that I just had to sing. Yeah, I done all the dumping.
00:16:13You look fantastic. What's your name? G'day, I'm Cade. I'm 17 and I'm from Toowoomba.
00:16:24In case you can't tell, I'm a bull rider. Every casual weekend I head to a radio and jump on a bull and it's nothing different than playing a bit of guitar and getting a bit nervous.
00:16:38The music business is kind of like bull riding, you know, you just jump on and hang on for dear life. Oh yeah, absolutely. Same, same.
00:16:45When did you get into that, like what age? Probably 12. So 12 you thought, oh, I might jump on a bull actually, that sounds...
00:16:53Oh, I was terrified, I was terrified. Is that considered a dumb thing? 100%.
00:16:59Like, you know, because you could get hurt, right? It's like a risky thing, it's dangerous. It could have your life, but you know, it's still fun.
00:17:06Have you gotten bucked off of a bull that I'm supposed... you must have, right? Every single time, brother. Every single time. That must be wild.
00:17:14What's the longest that you've ever clung on for? Eight seconds. Oh, you have? Wow. Which is enough, it's enough.
00:17:23To the people who have never done that, I'm sure that doesn't sound like a long time until you're holding on for dear life for that long.
00:17:29It feels like forever. What was worse, that or this? Honestly, this.
00:17:37I want to say that was really solid. The stakes are just so high on this show. I felt like it was safe. I felt like you were in your sweet spot and you stayed there and it never really moved.
00:17:47And so I would say if you ever try out for the show again, strict yourself next time. Because you're great, you're awesome. Thank you, thank you.
00:17:55Paul Kelly would have actually loved that rendition. I know Paul a bit, I've toured with him quite a lot. I've actually eaten Paul Kelly's gravy.
00:18:05Is that a euphemism? Wow, Kate, I'm learning so much about you today. Oh my goodness.
00:18:12Adam, I sat in Paul Kelly's kitchen and ate his gravy. Wow. It was incredible.
00:18:21I think it's probably not the right song for this show because it sits in such a limited range that we don't really get to hear what your voice can really do.
00:18:31But don't be disheartened by this because it was really good. It was really good. Thank you.
00:18:36Just for you, Kate, and when I get back to LA, I'm going to go to that bar and request that song in the jukebox, the bar with the bull that you can ride.
00:18:45And I'm going to ride the damn bull after a few tequilas and think of my friend, Kate. Thank you for that memory.
00:18:52Thank you. Thank you so much, Kate. Thank you, brother. Thank you.
00:18:57Is that bar still there on Sunset? Yeah, Saddle Ranch. It's very Coyote Ugly. I've been there a few times.
00:19:03I did it once and I was like, OK, I'm going to break my neck if I ever do this again.
00:19:09Good job, bud. Thanks.
00:19:16Turn it, mate.
00:19:18Good work, mate.
00:19:32I'm a mummy TikToker.
00:19:35I was a competitive cheerleader for seven years.
00:19:36Make me proud.
00:19:38I'm a mummy TikToker.
00:19:40I'm a mummy TikToker.
00:19:42I'm a mummy TikToker.
00:19:44I'm a mummy TikToker.
00:19:45I was a competitive cheerleader for seven years.
00:19:46Make their mark on the stage.
00:19:48I'm gonna be a winner!
00:19:53That was so damn cool.
00:19:55And later, The Voice.
00:19:58Wow!
00:19:59What a knockout voice.
00:20:01The coaches play hard for.
00:20:03I came here for you.
00:20:05You need the right coach.
00:20:05I've been waiting for a voice like yours.
00:20:07It belongs in my team.
00:20:16This is The Voice.
00:20:21Hi guys.
00:20:22Hi, how are you?
00:20:23Hi, I'm good.
00:20:24Lovely to meet you.
00:20:25How are you?
00:20:26Hello everyone.
00:20:27Hi.
00:20:28Hello.
00:20:29Hi.
00:20:30Hi.
00:20:31You're here for Amber?
00:20:32Yes, we're here for Amber.
00:20:33Yes.
00:20:34I'm so excited.
00:20:35But you knew you were gonna be here.
00:20:36A psychic told you, right?
00:20:37A psychic did tell me.
00:20:38Tell me what happened.
00:20:39Oh, the psychic told me that in my future I was gonna be in an audience.
00:20:43And I'm gonna be looking up on a big stage and see something that I'm gonna be very proud of.
00:20:48And be standing up and clapping.
00:20:50Yeah, very excited.
00:20:51That's really freaky.
00:20:53Oh my gosh.
00:21:03I feel like I'm definitely gonna drop this.
00:21:06Amber's interviewed.
00:21:07Take one.
00:21:09I'm Amber Sindoni and I am 22 years old from Melbourne.
00:21:14I am a children's book author.
00:21:16The book is called Safe, Happy and Healthy.
00:21:19And it tackles the topic of grief in the form of a children's story book.
00:21:26It's based on a true story.
00:21:28My best friend Benny, his mum was diagnosed with cancer.
00:21:32She was a lovely lady who unfortunately passed away.
00:21:38It's the book to honour her life.
00:21:42We had our book launch in October last year and it was the most surreal thing ever.
00:21:46And till this day, like one of my most proudest moments, I think.
00:21:54The things that you dream of are possible.
00:21:57And I wanna sing and I wanna connect with people like I have with this book.
00:22:03The song that I'll be singing for my blind audition is Anyone by Demi Lovato.
00:22:09She's an incredible vocalist and in the song there's a big belt.
00:22:15To do it justice, it's really hard to do.
00:22:19It's really scary to go out on that blind audition stage.
00:22:23But I'm excited to do something out of my comfort zone and hopefully it's enough to turn a chair.
00:22:50You got this.
00:22:51I'm so proud of you.
00:22:52You got this.
00:23:02I tried to talk to my piano
00:23:05I tried to talk to my guitar
00:23:09Talked to my imagination
00:23:12Confided into alcohol
00:23:16I tried and tried and tried some more
00:23:20Secrets to my voice were sore
00:23:23Tired of empty conversation
00:23:27Cause no one hears me anymore
00:23:31A hundred million stories and a hundred million songs
00:23:34I feel stupid when I sing
00:23:37Nobody's listening to me
00:23:41Nobody's listening
00:23:45Anyone, please stand me
00:23:49Anyone, I need someone
00:23:55I need someone
00:23:58Oh, anyone
00:24:03I need anyone
00:24:07No
00:24:09I need, I need someone
00:24:16A hundred million stories and a hundred million songs
00:24:19I feel stupid when I sing
00:24:22Nobody's listening to me
00:24:27Nobody's listening
00:24:45Hello.
00:24:46Hi.
00:24:47What's your name?
00:24:48My name is Amber.
00:24:50I'm 22 years old and I'm from Melbourne.
00:24:53Wow.
00:24:56Yeah, I'm a children's book author.
00:24:58I wrote a book with my best friend who's right over there.
00:25:04I'm really happy to be here.
00:25:05Thank you for turning.
00:25:06I love that.
00:25:07Well, Amber, I think you're a children's book author and a singer.
00:25:14I really admire your gumption getting on this stage and singing that song
00:25:19because it's such a tough thing.
00:25:21It covers such a crazy huge range and it's risky.
00:25:26You know, in a situation like this, you can clam up, you can get nervous,
00:25:31you can screw up the high note.
00:25:33You took that risk and I think it paid dividends.
00:25:39That was a powerhouse vocal performance and I think you belong in my team.
00:25:44You're from Melbourne, right?
00:25:45I am.
00:25:46Yeah, me too.
00:25:47We'll go out, we'll get a coffee, we'll have a chat.
00:25:50Oh, my God.
00:25:53I know I didn't turn my chair, but you're a badass.
00:25:57That was a great performance.
00:26:01You know what I really loved is every time you sang,
00:26:04it felt like you were pleading.
00:26:06It felt like you really understood the emotion of that song.
00:26:09There's a desperation in that lyric, you know,
00:26:12and I really felt like you connected to that feeling
00:26:15and I was really moved back here.
00:26:17I thought it was really stunning.
00:26:19That was really good.
00:26:20That means so much coming from you, so thank you.
00:26:22Amber, wow.
00:26:24Incredible gift.
00:26:26And to tackle that song, honestly,
00:26:28that requires so much breath and control when you're really nervous.
00:26:34People think it's hard to hit big notes,
00:26:36but when you're nervous, it's actually harder to be soft.
00:26:40It takes way more control.
00:26:41So true.
00:26:42When you were singing, I need someone, anyone,
00:26:45I felt like you were literally speaking to me
00:26:47and then I saw the girls turn around and I was like,
00:26:50well, there's just someone.
00:26:52I thought I'd leave it to the girls.
00:26:54Thanks, guys.
00:26:57Do you realize how good you are?
00:27:00Like, do you feel it?
00:27:03You can say yes.
00:27:05Sometimes.
00:27:06That song is ridiculously hard.
00:27:09Like, it takes some balls to walk out here.
00:27:11Some ovaries.
00:27:12Some ovaries, yes.
00:27:14You know.
00:27:16Some ovaries.
00:27:19It does.
00:27:20It takes a big set of ovaries.
00:27:22I would love, love, love to play with that beautiful voice of yours
00:27:27and help you find who you are as an artist.
00:27:30And I would love to have you on Team Leigh-Anne.
00:27:32It would be a blessing.
00:27:33It really would.
00:27:39Gosh, I don't know how to choose.
00:27:41I feel like I need to go with kind of what I'm feeling.
00:28:02And I think my gut is telling me
00:28:09to go with Leigh-Anne.
00:28:16Hi.
00:28:18It's so nice to meet you.
00:28:20I'm so excited.
00:28:22It's going to be awesome.
00:28:24Thanks, Kate.
00:28:25I really appreciate it.
00:28:27It's beautiful.
00:28:33Well done.
00:28:34That is a big song.
00:28:36That is huge.
00:28:38There was a note in there that was like, what?
00:28:40Yeah, yeah.
00:28:41Dang.
00:28:42She had a beautiful pure quality to her tone
00:28:44when she was singing softly too.
00:28:46Yeah.
00:28:47Oh, my God.
00:28:48Oh.
00:28:49Oh, my God.
00:28:51Oh, my God.
00:28:52Oh, my God.
00:28:55My psychic vision see and became true.
00:28:58That was it.
00:28:59That was that moment.
00:29:00Yay.
00:29:03Amber is in guts to come out and do that Demi Lovato song
00:29:06because that is such a hard song to sing.
00:29:08And she did a great job.
00:29:10I think Team Leigh-Anne is going to give everybody
00:29:12a serious run for their money.
00:29:14Next on The Voice.
00:29:17Today I'm going to be singing Toxic by Britney Spears
00:29:19but I'm putting my own very unique twist on it.
00:29:21A teenage cheerleader takes her shot.
00:29:25The main thing that could go wrong is no chair turns
00:29:30and a lot of very confused people.
00:29:32But will her bold move pay off?
00:29:35I've been doing this show for quite a few years.
00:29:38I've never seen anything like that.
00:29:57I do vocal warm-ups all the time.
00:29:59My favorite one is this.
00:30:01Mini-mini-ma, mini-mini-ma, mini-mini-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma.
00:30:07My mother makes me mash my mini M&M's on a Monday morning.
00:30:18That was good.
00:30:20Mm-ah, mm-ah.
00:30:30This is The Voice, take one.
00:30:32My name's Moll Turner, I'm 17 and I'm from the South Coast.
00:30:35I was a competitive cheerleader for seven years.
00:30:38I was a flyer, which is the little chick who gets chucked
00:30:41in the air a million times during a two-minute routine
00:30:44and I absolutely loved it.
00:30:47Being in an all-star team,
00:30:49it does look very pretty and amazing when you're performing,
00:30:52but behind the scenes there is literal blood, sweat and tears.
00:30:55Like, it is a lot of effort to get to any level with cheerleading.
00:30:59And in a very small, tight uniform,
00:31:02and you can't have your make-up sweat off,
00:31:04there's a lot going on all at once.
00:31:11Cheerleading has set me up to have such a hard-working mindset
00:31:15and I have to do extremes of everything.
00:31:17Cheerleading, I couldn't just do pom-poms,
00:31:19I had to do being chucked in the air.
00:31:21And singing, I can't sing,
00:31:23I have to take that to the next extreme as well.
00:31:27Today I'm going to be singing Toxic by Britney Spears,
00:31:30but I'm putting my own very unique twist on it.
00:31:32My version may come as a surprise, it may be a little bit shocking,
00:31:36but I'm about to step onto The Voice stage Australia
00:31:39and do something which has never been done before.
00:31:41This is the first time the nation's going to see it
00:31:43and it's coming from a 17-year-old schoolgirl.
00:31:48The main thing that could go wrong is...
00:31:53..no chair turns and a lot of very confused people.
00:31:58Artist walking.
00:32:00CHEERING
00:32:04Big cheer.
00:32:13CHEERING
00:32:29Baby, can't you see I'm falling
00:32:33A girl like you should wear a warning
00:32:36It's dangerous, I'm falling
00:32:44I saw your lips, I got your eyes
00:32:48You're toxic, I'm slipping under
00:32:51I hear your voice, I can't hide
00:32:54I'm addicted to you, toxic, you're toxic
00:33:00You're the one who's toxic, toxic, you're toxic
00:33:06You're the one who's toxic
00:33:19Taste of your lips, I'm on a ride
00:33:22You're toxic, I'm slipping under
00:33:25I hear your voice, I can't hide
00:33:28I'm addicted to you, toxic, you're toxic
00:33:35You're the one who's toxic, toxic, you're toxic
00:33:41CHEERING
00:33:51She's so cool. She's so pretty.
00:33:53What's your name?
00:33:55My name is Mol Turner. I'm 17. I'm from the South Coast.
00:33:59That was so much fun. I fully got a kick out of that.
00:34:03I thought that was so interesting.
00:34:07And doing it with a song that we all know, like a pop song, is very smart.
00:34:11That was a very smart thing to do.
00:34:13And you look very cool.
00:34:15I don't know how that giant monster sound comes out of this little tiny...
00:34:19I love it.
00:34:21I mean, I know the screamo thing isn't necessarily the most mainstream genre,
00:34:25especially for a girl to be doing.
00:34:27And I'm proud of you for getting up there and flexing your muscles.
00:34:31Thank you so much.
00:34:33That was very, very...
00:34:35That was badass. That's what that is.
00:34:37Yeah, good job.
00:34:39Mol, I've been doing this show for quite a few years.
00:34:43I've never seen anything like that.
00:34:47CHEERING
00:34:52I didn't turn just because I feel like that's such a jam and it's such a vibe.
00:34:56I was struggling to see where we could go from here.
00:35:00But that was so damn cool.
00:35:04Your scream voice is so aggressive.
00:35:08It wasn't like there was distortion on your voice.
00:35:10That was just your voice.
00:35:12Talk me through how you get to a place where you do that without it hurting.
00:35:17Um, YouTube tutorials.
00:35:19Ten-minute YouTube tutorials.
00:35:21Yeah.
00:35:22I feel like the audience was reacting so much.
00:35:24We didn't get to see it.
00:35:26Can we just see it for a minute, too?
00:35:29Because I feel like that energy is such a big part of it.
00:35:32Yeah, I'm happy to. I'm ready. I'm ready and pumped.
00:35:35Yeah, do it. Let's open this up.

00:36:11That was so cool.
00:36:15That's so tough.
00:36:17That was awesome.
00:36:19Wow.
00:36:21That is cool as hell.
00:36:23You're so badass.
00:36:25You're so cool.
00:36:27I was the only one to turn my chair.
00:36:29I'm questioning my fellow coach's judgement.
00:36:32Not for the first time.
00:36:35I just have to say that was so delightful and surprising.
00:36:42I may not have been the coach that you would have gone for,
00:36:46but I feel like this is a great match.
00:36:51I was absolutely thrilled watching that.
00:36:53I don't think you get that from just ten-minute YouTube tutorials.
00:36:57Like, I do think you have, like, a natural instrument,
00:37:00a natural gift and aptitude for that.
00:37:03I come from... Well, I originally come from the world of opera
00:37:06and I actually think opera and metal have a lot in common
00:37:11because they're so...
00:37:14They are...
00:37:15LAUGHTER
00:37:17They are two of the most hated genres.
00:37:19LAUGHTER
00:37:22They're also... It's this raw emotion
00:37:25and it is high, high drama.
00:37:28I feel really, really excited about working with you.
00:37:32And I can't wait to choose songs together.
00:37:36It's going to be so fun.
00:37:37You're a bolt of electricity.
00:37:41CHEERING
00:37:48Wow, hey.
00:37:49Awesome. You nailed it.
00:37:51Absolutely nailed it.
00:37:52Really awesome.
00:37:53Me too.
00:37:54Me too, you.
00:37:55Awesome.
00:37:56Well, thanks.
00:37:58Bye.
00:37:59CHEERING
00:38:04That was different.
00:38:05Wow.
00:38:06That was intense.
00:38:07That is so cool.
00:38:09And the visual, like, watching her do it.
00:38:11Watching her made it so much better.
00:38:13Yeah.
00:38:14Very cool.
00:38:15Yeah.
00:38:20Ah!
00:38:21LAUGHTER
00:38:23Oh!
00:38:24Oh, my God!
00:38:27I couldn't not turn.
00:38:29CHEERING
00:38:32Congratulations.
00:38:33So good.
00:38:34I can't wait to keep going on this journey.
00:38:36Yes.
00:38:37All right, take care.
00:38:39Bye.
00:38:40See you soon.
00:38:41Bye.
00:38:42CHEERING
00:38:45Let's go, boys.
00:38:46Let's go.
00:38:47MUSIC
00:38:57I'm Hannah Sands, I'm 29, and I'm a mum from Brisbane.
00:39:05I began sharing my motherhood journey on TikTok.
00:39:08I share funny things I think that everyone's thinking
00:39:11and no-one's saying,
00:39:12but I like to put my own little spin on it.
00:39:14I've been a first-time mum for almost two years now,
00:39:16and here are some takeaways in no particular order.
00:39:18Your feet may expand up to two sizes.
00:39:20This has been my experience.
00:39:21Intimacy and parenthood are two different things.
00:39:23Your feet may expand up to two sizes.
00:39:24This has been my experience.
00:39:25Intimacy and parenthood.
00:39:26Libido.
00:39:27Who is she?
00:39:28Uh-uh.
00:39:29Sending my child to daycare was the best thing I've done.
00:39:30He loves it.
00:39:31He thrives there.
00:39:32Honestly, after having a baby,
00:39:34I thought maybe I wouldn't do music anymore.
00:39:36It's just been the opposite.
00:39:37I'm just like, let's go.
00:39:46My earliest memories of music
00:39:48are my dad and I doing, like, what he would call a sing-along.
00:39:52Like, he loved American folk and blues music.
00:39:55Dad always encouraged me to sing.
00:39:57He always told me that my voice was such a gift,
00:40:01and to use it, and to use it as often and as loud as possible.
00:40:07I lost my dad in 2017,
00:40:09and it was really sudden and really unexpected.
00:40:12Just the shock of it was...
00:40:17Yeah, no words, really.
00:40:19It was awful.
00:40:22I feel my dad with me all the time,
00:40:24and especially with music.
00:40:26I'm singing Snooze by SZA.
00:40:29There are a lot of words in this song, and it's vast.
00:40:32Obviously, you have one shot.
00:40:33It's like, how am I going to do this
00:40:35to the best capabilities of my voice?
00:40:37So just feeling into that range
00:40:39and all the different tones of the song has been a challenge.
00:40:44I love Guy.
00:40:46It's so aspirational for an artist to watch his journey
00:40:50because of how he's carved it out his music career.
00:40:52If he turns his chair,
00:40:54it will be very hard not to go with Guy, honestly.
00:40:57On one hand, I'm, like, really confident and ready.
00:40:59It's my time.
00:41:00On the other hand, I'm like, oh, my God.
00:41:02It's a lot of pressure.
00:41:04It's one moment.
00:41:05Like, there's a lot going on.
00:41:06Like, yeah, it's scary.
00:41:50OK.
00:42:20Oh, my God.
00:42:43Oh, my God.
00:42:50Oh, my God.
00:42:56Yeah.
00:42:59I'm on fire.
00:43:02Hello.
00:43:04Hello.
00:43:05How are you?
00:43:06I'm very well.
00:43:07How are you, guys?
00:43:08I'm very, very good.
00:43:09What's your name?
00:43:10My name's Hannah.
00:43:11I'm 29.
00:43:12I'm from Brisbane.
00:43:13From Brisbane.
00:43:14Cool.
00:43:15Tell us about yourself.
00:43:16I'm a mummy TikToker.
00:43:18Yeah?
00:43:19What is that? What's a mummy TikToker?
00:43:22So I create content a lot about this season of my life,
00:43:25entering motherhood with my beautiful family over there.
00:43:29Hello, legend.
00:43:32That was so cool.
00:43:34I love Scissors. It's unbelievable.
00:43:36That song, it's a groove and it stays in one place.
00:43:40So it's all about the pocket and the easiness of it.
00:43:42There's some things we can work on, but I would love you on my team.
00:43:46I find you really interesting and really, really cool.
00:43:49And I would love to kind of know what else you've got.
00:43:52Thank you, guys.
00:43:54I appreciate a great pocket like so much.
00:43:57Like when someone can sit back in a pocket,
00:43:59like I almost don't need anything else.
00:44:00Like it's just so smooth and you have such a unique voice.
00:44:05You definitely have the soul and the storytelling is there.
00:44:08So yeah, I think you're just really unique and cool.
00:44:11And I would love to help you out.
00:44:14I'd love it.
00:44:15Thank you so much.
00:44:17I really enjoyed that, too.
00:44:19And I completely empathise with how being the mother of a new baby can break you,
00:44:25particularly in those early days.
00:44:27You know, for me, it felt like my identity was shattered, you know,
00:44:30and then and my previous self had died, actually.
00:44:34It's up to you to kind of like rebuild yourself brick by brick.
00:44:39And with that badass song choice, that's exactly what you did.
00:44:43For me personally, the reason I didn't turn,
00:44:45it's not exactly what I'm looking for on my team, but I still really enjoyed it.
00:44:51Thank you so much.
00:44:53You know, we're like going on about how great the pocket was.
00:44:55Also, the pants have great pockets.
00:44:57I mean, she was so in the pocket.
00:45:00She was in the cargo pocket.
00:45:03So who's going to tap into it?
00:45:04Who is it going to be?
00:45:05Yes, who is it?
00:45:06Who's going to tap?
00:45:13I'm going to have to go with Guy.
00:45:30You're really cool.
00:45:32Super cool.
00:45:33Yeah.
00:45:43Oh, hello.
00:45:52You should be so proud because it was really cool.
00:45:55Really cool.
00:45:56Well done.
00:45:56Welcome to Team Guy.
00:45:57I'm so happy.
00:45:59I'll see you again.
00:46:00Welcome.
00:46:01I'm excited.
00:46:09Always had a guy obsession.
00:46:11Always will.
00:46:11He is a vocal powerhouse and a phenomenal songwriter.
00:46:15His vocal acrobats are just out of this world.
00:46:17But man, he can sing.
00:46:20Wow.
00:46:22Guy is an incredible singer, obviously, but he's also a really natural teacher and mentor.
00:46:31I think Guy's secret weapon is that he creates security for these artists.
00:46:35He's got the trust of Australia.
00:46:38Guy goes straight for the heart.
00:46:46They just all end up going, oh, we just love you, Guy.
00:46:48It's so sweet.
00:46:49You know, I mean, he really is.
00:46:50He's so lovable.
00:46:53But he knows how to play it.
00:46:55He's just got it down.
00:46:56Guy is an Aussie icon.
00:46:58He's had 10 albums in the top 10 here in Australia.
00:47:01He's been platinum certified 69 times.
00:47:06He's been nominated for 34 ARIA Awards and won seven times.
00:47:10So he's a lot to bring to the table.
00:47:13This is a really tough environment.
00:47:16As a coach, it's just about making them see how good they can be.
00:47:21Once you make them believe, it's almost like unleashing a beast.
00:47:26Coming up.
00:47:29The performance worth fighting for.
00:47:33That was extraordinary.
00:47:35I'm viciously hungry to have you on my team.
00:47:43Guy Sebastian.
00:48:01We just need wigs.
00:48:02Yeah.
00:48:03Right?
00:48:04To that point in my life, in my career, I just need a wig.
00:48:06I want to start wearing wigs.
00:48:07But you should.
00:48:08You know?
00:48:08Get on it.
00:48:10You should.
00:48:11Not that your head is that high maintenance, really.
00:48:14No, true.
00:48:15But the bleaching thing, when the roots start coming in,
00:48:18if I had dark roots, it would look cool.
00:48:20But I'm like ginger.
00:48:22Oh, that's funny.
00:48:23So the ginger roots, wait, you have ginger?
00:48:26I love redheads.
00:48:28Yeah, same.
00:48:28It makes me look like 12.
00:48:30I want to be like a weird alien creation person.
00:48:33I like that.
00:48:35You do you, baby.
00:48:36You know, it's an expression thing.
00:48:38I like it.
00:48:38You've always done you.
00:48:39Yes.
00:48:40Yeah.
00:48:40You keep doing you.
00:48:44All right, ladies and gentlemen, are you ready?
00:48:48Let's give our artists so much love.
00:48:55Artists walking.
00:48:57Thanks, Michael.
00:49:03So big reaction on their faces.
00:49:06There was a gasp.
00:49:07An audible.
00:49:08There was a like a look of shock.
00:49:10Oh, I'm excited.
00:49:11Shock, surprise.
00:49:12Good.
00:49:19I don't know if the coaches have met anyone like me.
00:49:23I've always been different.
00:49:26I've never been able to blend in.
00:49:29I really try to live my life without having a fear of worrying about what people think.
00:49:38Hello, my name is Sheba.
00:49:40I'm a singer, a DJ and a master of ceremonies, whatever that is.
00:49:46I am purely an entertainer.
00:49:54I've been performing for a very long time.
00:49:56So if you put it all together and I find that you can create something visually as well as
00:50:02with sound, then amazing.
00:50:04Don't dim your light by feeling like, oh, this is too much.
00:50:07It's never too much.
00:50:09You can never be overdressed.
00:50:11You can never be overdressed.
00:50:15Today, I'm doing an incredible song, Land Down Under.
00:50:20I remember growing up with the song.
00:50:22The fact that the coaches can't see me is a bit of a problem because I'm used to like
00:50:29smoke and mirrors.
00:50:30Like, hey, look at my hat.
00:50:31Look at my skirt.
00:50:33And they can't see any of that.
00:50:35So to me, it's just about nailing the song.
00:50:38I want to push it to the limit.
00:50:40Definitely.
00:50:41Here we go.
00:50:56My name is Siva.
00:51:01What's my name?
00:51:03I love it.
00:51:05What's my name?
00:51:07I love it.
00:51:09Travelling in a freighter convoy.
00:51:11I know you can truly pull out something.
00:51:13That's different.
00:51:15I met a strange lady.
00:51:17She made me nervous.
00:51:19She took me in and gave me breakfast.
00:51:21Hey, she said.
00:51:23Land down under.
00:51:25Land down under.
00:51:27We'll make a little rambling thunder.
00:51:29Can you hear the thunder?
00:51:31Can you hear the thunder?
00:51:33Can you hear the thunder?
00:51:35You better run.
00:51:37You better take cover.
00:51:39Find me from a man in Brazil.
00:51:41Brazil.
00:51:43He was six feet tall,
00:51:45full of muscles.
00:51:47I said,
00:51:49do you speak my language?
00:51:51He just smiled
00:51:53and gave me a Vegemite.
00:51:55Do you come from a land
00:51:57on a city with me?
00:51:59Come on, let's go.
00:52:01Land down under.
00:52:03Land down under.
00:52:05We'll make a little rambling thunder.
00:52:07Can you hear the thunder?
00:52:09Can you hear the thunder?
00:52:11You better run.
00:52:13You better take cover.
00:52:15One, two, three, four.
00:52:19Yes.
00:52:21More.
00:52:23More.
00:52:25More.
00:52:27More.
00:52:30Ma'am,
00:52:32what's your name?
00:52:35What's your name?
00:52:38My name is Sheba.
00:52:40Yes, you said it in the song.
00:52:42What's my name?
00:52:44Sheba!
00:52:46Let me tell you something.
00:52:48Now, I didn't turn around
00:52:50for a couple of reasons.
00:52:52I don't know if this show
00:52:54is necessarily for what you did,
00:52:56but I'm saying this.
00:52:58I could hear it in the club, it was, like, fresh.
00:53:01I was, like, feeling it back here.
00:53:03I think, you know, we're looking for, like,
00:53:05a certain type of voice.
00:53:07Your voice is so cool.
00:53:08It was giving me, like, Grace Jones energy.
00:53:11I was, like, it was very cool.
00:53:13So, maybe not the right setting, but, like,
00:53:16I want to hear that in the club this weekend.
00:53:18Yes!
00:53:19Great.
00:53:20I have recorded it, and I am going to put it out.
00:53:23Yes, put it out.
00:53:24So, I'm going to put it out.
00:53:25And you're gorgeous.
00:53:26Yes, thank you.
00:53:27You're stunning.
00:53:28You are gorgeous.
00:53:29You are gorgeous.
00:53:30Look at him!
00:53:31Look at her!
00:53:32Look!
00:53:34And you seem like a star to me.
00:53:35So, I want to hear this song.
00:53:36I know this is not the last we're going to see of you.
00:53:38Thank you so much.
00:53:39I love you.
00:53:40I love you.
00:53:43You know when you turn around and someone is just so, like...
00:53:46Aw, such a present.
00:53:48Yeah.
00:53:50Where do you gig?
00:53:51Where do I gig?
00:53:52I gig around the world.
00:53:53I sing in 12 languages.
00:53:54I love you.
00:53:55Wow.
00:53:57I write songs in Chinese and French and German, you know.
00:54:01That is incredible.
00:54:02So, I don't really fit, like you say, I don't really fit into a box.
00:54:05But what I would like to say to the audience and the whole world out there
00:54:10is the best thing you can do for independent artists is to follow them.
00:54:14Yes.
00:54:15You know?
00:54:16So, follow me, follow me, follow me!
00:54:19And hang on, who have we got over here?
00:54:22Oh, my mother.
00:54:23Look, excuse me.
00:54:24Look at that dress.
00:54:25Can we have a round of applause for my mother?
00:54:27That dress, mom.
00:54:30She's 80 years old.
00:54:32That is incredible.
00:54:34Mom's dress is bomb.
00:54:36Can you deal with it?
00:54:37Look at that dress.
00:54:38Can you deal with it?
00:54:39Look at that dress.
00:54:40I feel like we need to hear it again.
00:54:43I just want to see it.
00:54:44I want to see.
00:54:45More, more!
00:54:47Sheba Williams, thank you so much.
00:54:51Oh, my God!
00:55:16Hey!
00:55:17Hey!
00:55:18Hey!
00:55:19Oh my god
00:55:28It's a great performance to see her after 30 years
00:55:34Thank you mom

00:56:38Mature
00:56:40We actually get that all the time
00:56:43That's my mom and they're like
00:56:46Yeah, that's bad I love my mom
00:56:50Boy's been a bit of a mummy's boy
00:56:52I see a lot of the happiness that I had with mum and I with my family now
00:56:59I've got beautiful fiance. We have a six-month-old son Bowie and he is the light of my life. I
00:57:07Love it. Love being a dad. It's great. It's a great thing
00:57:13I
00:57:15Have always dreamed of being a full-time musician. I want to be singing for crowds
00:57:20hundreds thousands tens of
00:57:22Thousands. That's why I'm here
00:57:28I'm country artist. So Liam rhymes is my top priority of coaches. I
00:57:35Would love to turn into you I'd be totally happy if any of them decided that they'd want me on their team, but
00:57:41Liam rhymes is
00:57:44Why on you Gil?
00:57:51The song want to sing that is a song that my mum and I have always sung together
00:57:55Stepping up on that stage. I really want to make my mum Brad my family proud
00:58:00I want something that my son can look up to I
00:58:04Believe this could be the life-changing opportunity for me 100%

01:02:12Hey, buddy, what a great name
01:02:15Baby, and so your mum got you into singing. Yeah, I since I could probably talk I think mum had me going on singing
01:02:23Welcome me out from behind the the archway of the door. He is Jayden singleton everybody
01:02:31It was magical you're a born singer
01:02:34It's so easy for you. It just streamed out of your body. Just like water
01:02:39It was beautiful buttery honey lovely tone. I love that growly crunchiness at the top. What a knockout voice
01:02:50Team Kate, thank you very much. Thank you
01:02:55You have one of those voices
01:02:56It's like that perfect blend of like clarity with Raspi and and the runs you do really soulful you sang it with like
01:03:04Conviction that song I like that you you seemed like you lived that experience before and if you haven't you made me believe you had
01:03:10Which is the gift of a great artist. I
01:03:13Really appreciate it. Thank you
01:03:15From one, you know high tenor to another like I would like to sing with you, sir. I would love that. I
01:03:22I
01:03:24Think we have a black. Yeah, the thing is though that um, like who wants to hear two tenors singing together. Let's be honest
01:03:38I don't know. I think I think there's a market for that
01:03:45I've been waiting for a voice like yours. I don't have that on my team yet. And man we could make some
01:03:53I
01:03:56Heard Jaden, how are you? I
01:03:59Yep, speechless. Yeah
01:04:02And you should be because I wasn't surprised that it ended up a four-chair turn
01:04:07That is like a perfect voice for me and and you know Adam
01:04:14But it really was mainly because
01:04:17It's all the right amounts of everything
01:04:19It really is nothing is is overcooked and you're so relaxed with it to pay such homage and respect to that song
01:04:26Yet just stay in Jaden world. It was just so so calming and so good. I
01:04:34Would really love to be your coach with that voice
01:04:37I think songs are very very important for you just to set you up as an artist
01:04:43I think you're an artist Jade and I really do. I think there's a future
01:04:46I just want to point out. I'm very good at choosing songs
01:04:50Very very good at that. That's one of my strong suit
01:04:53You guys have the saying here that I think is really appropriate right now. I didn't come here to fight us
01:05:07You I came here for you
01:05:10Just laying it out there
01:05:15Yeah, Jane and I just you need the right coach because you kind of sung a country song
01:05:21I'm so badly wanting to hit this Leanne
01:05:29Because I know Leanne's out of love
01:05:39You
01:05:52Jaden I would really love to be your coach
01:05:55Because you kind of sung a country song. I'm so badly wanting to hit this Leanne
01:06:03Don't you dare do it?
01:06:05Because I know Leanne's out of love
01:06:08This is your button moment and and and I'll tell you
01:06:18I'll tell you why I'm not gonna do it. Oh, thank you. I think this is reverse psychology. I think
01:06:25He's doing some mind trickery here. What is this? I
01:06:29Honestly, I just respect you so much that you know
01:06:32I just in case you were gonna choose Leanne. I I don't want to do that at all
01:06:36You know, it would really suck
01:06:45I'm good
01:06:49I'm just joking. I have no respect. I never knew he was such a great liar guy
01:06:55Oh
01:07:00I'm so sorry. I am. Sorry if if Leanne was on the cards, I do respect you
01:07:06I really do but I mean I'm also
01:07:10viciously hungry to have you on my team
01:07:15And I've been the recipient of many blocks so it was only fair for me to dish one out
01:07:20You got me back
01:07:23You got me back that was the revenge
01:07:26But that doesn't guarantee it's not an ultimate block and we've all pitched over to you
01:07:41Trust your gut that's what you should do for sure. Thank you. Thank you Kate. Thank you Leanne, but I'm gonna go with going
01:07:50Yes
01:07:58I'm sorry
01:08:00I'm sorry, if you wanted to go with Leanne, I had to do it

01:08:25Do it for Leanne
01:08:29Guys I'm back
01:08:34Did that hurt you really went in hard that time. I know I did go in hard. Yeah, I'm heartbroken
01:08:38Yeah, a little little wounded little bruised. Yeah, is that like your favorite singer that you've heard this competition?
01:08:45It's definitely one of them. Yeah. Yeah, definitely one of them
01:08:49Oh my gosh
01:08:51Say hi
01:08:53Hello
01:08:55What a face
01:08:57What a face
01:08:59Hello
01:09:01Proud?
01:09:05Hi dad
01:09:07Hey mister. Good job
01:09:09Four top international artists
01:09:11fighting over little old me
01:09:14This 13 seasons of The Voice and the fact that we still get people like you is insane to me
01:09:20Like where have you been? Like because you're so good. You are so good. Thank you. Guy blocked Leanne on me
01:09:31I was team Leanne. That's for sure. But um guy must see something in me
01:09:36Guy must see something in me. So I'm absolutely chuffed absolutely stoked to be on team guy
01:09:46Damn guy, I went in really hard thought I had him and
01:09:50Guy just like ripped the rug out from underneath me. So it was such a shame. I was so bummed for you. I
01:10:01Don't think I need the blocks necessarily to be able to fight and get somebody great on my team
01:10:05So now I'm not worried. I think I'm gonna get the silent treatment for a little while
01:10:21Next time on The Voice
01:10:24Eight new artists. Music is my passion. And my heart that I'm ready for this. Put it all on the line
01:10:29I am singing an Adam Leavitt song. Bit of a risky move. And have the coaches going to war
01:10:36I would absolutely love to have you on my team
01:10:39You're amazing
01:10:42But that would be so predictable, wouldn't it?
01:10:46Who will grab one of the last coveted spots? I think you could win this whole competition
01:10:59You
