Singapore Airlines announced as first international carrier to operate to Western Sydney Airport
Singapore Airlines will launch direct flights to the new Western Sydney Airport. It's the first international carrier to commit to the $5.3 billion project, which is slated to open in 2026.

00:29the addition of Singapore Airlines will allow for flight destinations across the world including
00:33Asia, Europe, the UK and the USA to operate out of Sydney, Western Sydney International
00:39Airport.

00:51What we're seeing is for the first time, Sydney rather than looking inward to the east towards

01:04And that is why this is such an important piece of infrastructure.
01:13The airport is scheduled to operate around 10 million customers annually once it opens
01:19in late 2026 and is around 85% complete as of now.
