00:00The PNP continued its operation to issue an arrest warrant against Pastor Apollo Q. Baloy,

00:07who they believe is still inside the compound of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in Davao City.

00:12In the middle of this, the Temporary Protection Order of the Davao Regional Trial Court was issued.

00:17President Bongbong Marcos is adamant that there was no violation of human rights

00:22in the issuance of the arrest warrant.

00:32The police presence inside and outside the KOJC compound here in Davao City continues.

00:41We can see here behind me the presence of the police

00:45guarding the entrance of the compound.

00:49This video was taken by some members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ or KOJC

00:59at 4 o'clock in the early morning earlier.

01:01This is what we heard when we went inside the Jose Maria College building inside the KOJC compound.

01:09The PNP first said that their ground-penetrating radar detected

01:14heartbeats coming from an underground bunker inside the compound.

01:19GMA Integrated News tried to confirm to the PNP that they were inside the building

01:26but they refused to give details of what was being done inside the compound.

01:31It was already day 4 when the police searched the 30-hectare compound

01:37to arrest KOJC founder Pastor Apollo Q. Baloy and other accused.

01:42According to the PNP, they were having a hard time finding Q. Baloy

01:47so the operation was delayed.

01:49But they were convinced that he was inside the compound.

01:53We couldn't find the right entrance to the compound.

01:57It was really hard. We were really prepared.

02:00KOJC went to Davao Regional Trial Court to request a temporary restraining order

02:06and injunction against the PNP.

02:09It also so happened that Davao City RTC issued a temporary protection order

02:16in favor of KOJC that they requested back in July 1.

02:20The court ordered the police to stop any activities that are dangerous to life,

02:26freedom, security, and privacy of the petitioners.

02:30The court also ordered the PRO-11 to remove all barricades

02:35that prevent access to and from the compound.

02:39The court said that the restrictions and control imposed by the PNP-11

02:45over and within the compound of KOJC and GMC-FI

02:49noticeably trampled not only the property rights of the petitioners,

02:54its officers and members, but also the exercise of the religious freedom and academic rights.

03:00Our presence there is based on a valid warrant that was issued by the court

03:06and addressed in that address.

03:09And pending any order from the court that says,

03:13Police Lieutenant Office-11 is ordered to vacate and stop the implementation of the warrant,

03:19then that will be the time that we're going to vacate.

03:23The release of the TPO was welcomed by the members of KOJC.

03:29Based on the interpretation of their lawyers,

03:33the court is now removing the police inside and outside the KOJC compound.

03:38But the DILG and PNP said,

03:41I don't know what they're celebrating, but one thing is certain,

03:44they're not stopping the implementation of the warrant.

03:49That's very clear.

03:51There's nothing to be worried about for now

03:54because what's written in the protection order is clear.

03:58According to the PNP,

04:00they will only remove the barricades following the court's order.

04:05But the police will still remain deployed in the KOJC compound

04:10to serve the warrant of arrest against Kikibuloy and the accused.

04:15Even so, the DILG and PNP will ask for clarification from the court

04:21regarding the issued order.

04:23We will not stop the implementation of the warrant

04:27and hopefully, we will be close to what we are achieving.

04:31The Commission on Human Rights reminded the PNP

04:34to exercise maximum tolerance.

04:36Their advice to the KOJC members is to avoid hurting others.

04:41The KOJC also denied that their members have a violent movement against the police.

04:47Regarding the members, they are not allowed to enter.

04:52Others are just sleeping on the street.

04:55It's not true that the members are violent.

05:00They have allowed the police to enter the compound.

05:03They have allowed the police to search the premises.

05:05President Bongbong Marcos also denied that there was no overkill

05:09or use of force and that there was no violation of human rights.

05:13I think what they are talking about is political.

05:18It's not true.

05:20You go to any human rights advocate, there's nothing that we did.

05:25All the police who entered were not armed.

05:28None of them had guns.

05:30We did not use tear gas.

05:33We did not do that.

05:35So what is human rights violation?

05:37The President is now calling on the pastor not to be one of the supporters.

05:42They did not sign up to be in the front line of this kind of thing that's happening now,

05:48that they will protect him from arrest even when he has cases filed against him

05:53not only here in the Philippines but also in the United States.

05:56So I suppose I can understand their disagreement with us, even anger.

06:08But what all that the police are doing is enforcing the warrant of arrest against Apollo Kipolo.

06:20Pia Atom, tonight we were able to interview one of the ministers of KOJC, Carlo Catiil,

06:31and he told us about the hardship they went through inside the compound within four days.

06:38According to him, the members of KOJC were happy with the release of the TPO today

06:46because no matter what, they were able to leave and enter the compound.
