00:00Morning Sheffield, this is Alistair from the Sheffield Star speaking to you on
00:03Wednesday the 28th of August with a little weather update. Schools are due to
00:07go back next week making this the last weekend of the summer holidays and if
00:11you're hoping to make the most of it with some sunny weather you're going to
00:14get it. The summer isn't over yet according to the Met Office. It started today, that
00:18is Wednesday, it's predicted to have some really decent weather to see off the
00:22rest of August. Not quite rising to the level of a mini heatwave but certainly
00:27better than some weekends we've seen this summer. You can expect sunny
00:30intervals and unbroken sunshine for the rest of the week and a balmy weekend
00:34ahead in fact. I'll skip to the important part. Saturday August 31st
00:37expect to have clear sunshine and highs of 20 degrees Celsius with little to no
00:42chance of rain and maybe even a mild breeze at least. Sunday will be cloudier
00:46but by no means overcast and we'll even see highs of about 22 degrees C in some
00:52places to really squeeze out the last drops of summer I suppose. It's a good
00:56thing too. Monday is expected to be properly overcast to spoil the fun so
01:00good luck with any plans you might have for the weekend and I hope you make the
01:03most of it.
