Lancashire police and crime commissioner Clive Grunshaw with an update on antisocial behaviour from the West Way Sports Hub in Chorley
Transcript
00:00Clive Gunshaw, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire. I'm here today to have a look at some
00:04of the great work that the local authority are doing at Westway Sports Club to tackle
00:10anti-social behaviour within Shore. This is something that is funded by our Community Action
00:17Fund, money that has been taken off criminals, put back into the community to really make a
00:24difference and this particularly is something to get young people off the streets over the
00:30summer months. What is going on here in Chorley is being replicated across the whole of Lancashire
00:36where we are trying to provide young people with things to do, reduce anti-social behaviour and
00:44we're really looking to engage with young people as early as possible, prevent them getting involved
00:49in trouble, anti-social behaviour, the criminal justice system and so that is really important
00:54to us. Like I said, importantly this money comes from criminals that we can put back into the community.
