00:00Tell us how much of the work's been going on so far and how it's been going.
00:03So we started on site for HMP Highland in September 2021 when we awarded the contract
00:08of Balfour Beatty for the design. So since that started we've done a number of enabling works
00:14which are all underground probably people won't see. Part of that was about the developing the
00:19ground source heat pump system which will heat the heat the prison and making sure that we had
00:23the right substructure in place and then actually in April this year when we awarded the contract
00:29for the construction to Balfour Beatty and now some of the work that they've done pre that with
00:34their subcontractors a number of which are local to HMP Inverness it's fabulous to now be able to
00:40see that the structure come out of the ground and starting to see steel work and the concrete
00:45foundations for the residential areas is it's brilliant particularly for I think the staff
00:50group at HMP Inverness who actually weren't sure that this was actually going to happen
00:56and now they can see something tangible about the work that's being done.
01:00So definitely and can you know 2026 is kind of the deadline do you
01:04think we're going to see that being met? Yes I hope so absolutely.
