00:00Hi, my name is Jack Marshall and I'm a digital reporter with the Lancashire Post.
00:05The Preston Pub is gearing up to host a night celebrating the musical culture of Poland.
00:11Organised by Polish-born musician and Preston local Kate S, the night at the New Continental
00:16Pub on South Meadow Lane is the third such event to be held at the venue and is set to
00:20showcase the diverse and underappreciated cultural significance of Polish music.
00:27With Polish people making up the third largest ethnic group in the city of Preston, behind
00:31English and Indian people, Kate S is hoping that her events will strike a chord with not
00:37only the Polish diaspora in the city, but with people of all ethnicities across Preston.
00:44Kate herself has been performing since 2018 and is encouraging anyone interested to come
00:51on down and see for themselves.
00:53Here we have a clip of a recent event to give you a flavour of just what kind of entertainment
00:57is on offer.
00:58Thanks for watching.
00:59Cheers.
