15:11This week on the Pollcast.
15:12Polls because he won.
15:14I just want to know if we can all afford the win.
15:16But people now are seeming to say, Gus,
15:18that Democrats are the ones who are better to save money
15:21and cut government than Republicans.
15:22Does that surprise you?
15:23No, it doesn't surprise me because I think what you've seen is...
15:26The opinionated discussion of the issues impacting North Florida on the Pollcast.
15:30I don't think you're saying any...
15:33What we're talking about here is targeted prevention and education.
15:36We're talking about going where the money is, so to speak,
15:40and going after the communities that are at highest risk.
15:44Now, the approach of, say, outside experts coming into a community
15:50wants to discover that that was not going to be effective.
15:53Somehow the resources begin to dwell.
15:56I have two problems with that statement.
15:58One, I don't think my city is as bigoted as everybody is trying to make it out.
16:03You, sir, are discussing an agency that was initially funded to serve 180 people.
16:08We serve 1,471 patients.
16:11I was the staff person for the AIDS Action Task Force,
16:14which put into effect the AIDS plan that we're still trying hard to put into practice.
16:20Why is the epidemic so pronounced here?
16:22What resources exist in Jacksonville to combat the disease?
16:25And how can we stop the spread of AIDS in our city?
16:27A town meeting on Jacksonville's AIDS epidemic, Tuesday night at 10 on 7.

21:26Every day, in big cities and small towns, you'll find public television working behind the scenes
21:32on many kinds of programs.
21:33We agree with your recommendation for the wheelchair way.
21:35Good. We think it's more a design element and less a retrofit.
