00:19As the second largest archipelagic country in the world,
00:23the Philippines is one of the countries
00:25to hold the Maritime and Archipelagic Awareness Month
00:28or MANAMO.
00:29In his message, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:32pointed out how important the country is
00:35in its vast maritime and archipelagic resources
00:38that Filipinos are looking forward to.
00:41At the same time, he urged them
00:43to play the role of caring for the so-called rich.
00:47This year's celebration of MANAMO
00:50is a clarion call to raise greater consciousness
00:53on maritime and archipelagic concerns
00:56as well as to engage our people
00:58in protecting our maritime interests
01:00and resources from various threats.
01:12I encourage everyone, especially our youth,
01:15to support and to join the countrywide coastal cleanup
01:19and conservation activities.
01:27Everything starts from each of us.
01:29And with all of us working together,
01:31we will soon harvest the fruits of our hard work
01:34and realize a sustainable and greener future
01:38for everyone to enjoy.
