00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has been busy with various activities last week,

00:04including helping our countrymen who were victims of the Christine earthquake.

00:18President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s week started with a sectoral meeting in Malacanang

00:25where he discussed the strengthening of the e-mobility industry

00:29which is a big thing for him to promote sustainable and energy-efficient transportation in the Philippines.

00:35Here, the President also immediately gave a directive to the DILG

00:39to prepare the local governments for the upcoming Christine earthquake.

00:44This also includes ensuring a safe and well-organized community this holiday season

00:49and the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.

00:53He also celebrated the 123rd anniversary of the Philippine Coast Guard.

00:59Here, he recognized the institution for its important role

01:02in protecting the territory of the Philippines from the use of weapons.

01:07The President also emphasized that the calmness of the PCG

01:10in the face of the hardships it is experiencing in the sea

01:14is its true symbol of strength.

01:17He also promised to continue the government's efforts

01:20to make the PCG even better through the proposed modernization program of the administration.

01:27On Wednesday, the President immediately canceled his public engagements

01:31and personal visits to the country following the experience of the Christine earthquake.

02:12to donate P5 million for the victims of the Christine earthquake.

02:17He also accepted the P5.5 billion investment pledge for

02:20the Toyota Innovative International Multipurpose Vehicle Zero

02:26which is also powered by renewable and clean energy sources.

02:30The President also held a situation briefing in Malacanang

02:33where his Directive is for prompt action and assistance to those affected by the earthquake.

02:39The Executive Board also agreed that on top of the situation,

02:43the government should follow the situation of the Christine earthquake.

02:47The President also held an aerial inspection in Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna

02:51as well as in the affected areas.

02:54This is for the personnel to see the effect of the earthquake

02:57and to plan the necessary solutions for the dams that it will hit.
