00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gave the important role of the local government

00:06in addressing the challenges that the country is facing

00:09and recognized their resourcefulness in solving the problems.

00:14Here is the report.

00:17There is still a lot that needs to be done.

00:19That's what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said in front of the leaders of the local government

00:25along with his leadership in the best awards this year.

00:29Here, the Executive Board of the Local Chief Executives

00:32encouraged the local chief executives to do better in their duties

00:35and to be the pioneers of change.

00:37Especially, they will be able to use change

00:40if the national and local government will help

00:43the private sector and non-government organizations.

00:47In these challenging times, our country needs leaders, innovators,

00:51and true public servants to step forward and to lead the change.

00:55Change that will help us create a more resilient and better future for our children.

01:18My challenge to all of you is this.

01:20Let us keep pushing.

01:22Let us keep innovating.

01:24The work of governance does not end.

01:28There is always more to be done.

01:30More people to serve.

01:31More ways to live.

01:33More problems to solve.

01:34More initiatives to put into place.

01:38President R. Marcos Jr. also recognized the Galing Puok Foundation

01:41as a continuing body of the government

01:43to increase the number of local governments.

01:47The 10 local governments in the country were recognized

01:51because of their programs and initiatives for the development of their communities.

01:58Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation promised to donate

02:015 million pesos worth of assistance to the victims of Hurricane Christine.

02:05This was followed by the company's presentation of its new Next Generation Tamaraw

02:10and Hydrogen Powered Concept Vehicles to the President.

02:13It also committed 5 Tamaraw units to be converted into ambulances

02:17to be used in the Love for All program of First Lady Luis Araneta Marcos

02:21which is expected to be turned over next year.

02:24It would not be possible without the generous support of Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation

02:29which committed to donate the first 5 units as we have just heard

02:33of the Next Generation Tamaraw Ambulance to the First Lady's Love for All initiative.

02:39Undoubtedly, this contribution will improve our ability to deliver essential medical services to our citizens.

02:46The President also thanked the company for its continued investment in the country

02:50particularly its 5.5 billion investment for the production of the Philippine-made Next Generation Tamaraw

02:57or the Toyota Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle Zero

03:01which is far from emitting zero emissions and is in the hands of the administration

03:06which is also the pioneer of Renewable and Clean Energy Resources.
