00:00The AP top 25 poll delivered to us yesterday, and if we do look at the top of the standings,
00:10not much change here, right?
00:11Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, Notre Dame, a couple of those teams moving up slightly
00:17and rightfully so.
00:18But if we start with the top, just Georgia and Ohio State, 57 first place votes went
00:23to Georgia, five for Ohio State.
00:26So those two teams here with those, what, 62 total votes are up top of the standings.
00:31Do we agree?
00:32And again, there shouldn't be much change.
00:34Georgia hammered Clemson, Ohio State with their easy victory, but Georgia playing a
00:38highly ranked opponent.
00:39They deserve to be number one in my eyes, Dubzy.
00:41How about you?
00:42Yeah, they made a mockery of the Clemson Tigers, and we knew they were going to be motivated
00:46to start a new season.
00:48You win 42 at the last 44, but it wasn't good enough to make it into the college football
00:53playoffs.
00:54So I thought that he delivered, put up some fantastic numbers there.
00:57So I thought they were, I guess, the most impressive out of the big squads there coming
01:02in for week one.
01:03So absolutely, Georgia, you look at the odds, that's telling us the same story.
01:07It's going to take a lot to sort of derail that ship, but with a bit of extra motivation,
01:10fantastic to see them up on top.
01:12I thought Texas, the Longhorns with Quinn Ewers, they were very, very strong in their
01:16performance.
01:17And don't sleep on good old Jalen Milrow and Bama.
01:21I know there's no Nick Saban at the helm, but I'll tell you what, they look like every
01:24bit of the power force that we've seen over the last decade.
01:28So that was the common theme for me through week one, Donnie.
01:30I thought we saw everything we needed to from the big programs.
01:34There was a couple of outliers.
01:35I thought USC probably came up with the most impressive victory over LSU.
01:40Then I tell you what, Lincoln Riley absolutely needed that to get a bit of confidence.
01:44And as we touched on a little earlier in the show there, the Seminoles, they were probably
01:48the biggest disappointment through the first two weeks.
01:51The disaster in Dublin, it carried across back in here for week one.
01:54That wasn't good enough.
01:55And we've seen that with them being the first ranked team prior to the season, now dropping
02:00out of that top 25.
02:01Yeah.
02:02Well, take a look at that six through 10 here in the rankings.
02:04Your Ole Miss 1-0, absolutely hammer job on firmetry that we're supposed to do, but always
02:09impressive to see some of those scorers get the 50, 60, and 70 points.
02:13You take a look at Oregon, which had a really interesting dub seat.
02:16They were able to score 24 to 14, despite a ton of yards for the Oregon Ducks.
02:21They also now in the big 10.
02:23Take a look at Penn State with a great victory over West Virginia.
02:26That line at closing, seven to seven and a half, depending on where you were shopping
02:29at, easily dismantling of the West Virginia Mountaineers.
02:32Then you take a look at Missouri and Michigan winding at the top 10, which is interesting
02:36to me because the national champion last year were the Michigan Wolverines.
02:40They did win by three touchdowns.
02:42They were favored by about three touchdowns, but I came away from that football game because
02:46it was a six-point game in the fourth quarter, questioning Michigan just a little bit more.
02:52Now, granted, they won easily.
02:54Did you have any issues with Michigan's win over Fresno State, or hey, look, game number
02:58one, decent opponent, handled their business, and they're going to move forward.
