Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim held a bilateral meeting on Wednesday (Sept 4) with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his two-day working visit to attend the 9th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok, Russia.

Anwar acknowledged that the full potential of Malaysia-Russia relations has yet to be realised but reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening collaboration across all sectors with Russia.

00:29Wednesday to September 6, where he is scheduled to address the forum's plenary session on

00:34During the meeting, Anwar assured Putin that, as the ASEAN chair next year, he would work
00:40to deepen the regional group's cooperation with Russia in all sectors.
00:44He also expressed hope that President Putin would participate in the ASEAN Summit 2025.
00:51Anwar acknowledged Russia's enormous potential, noting that as the world's largest country,
00:57Russia has demonstrated resilience and determination in overcoming challenges.
