00:00After 11 days spent by the most talented para-athletes,

00:05the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France was officially closed this morning.

00:10Here's Daryl Oclaris's report.

00:14Despite the heavy rain,

00:17the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paralympic Games

00:22was held this Monday morning in Stade de France in Paris.

00:26Here, the estimated number of para-athletes

00:29from 168 Paralympic delegations

00:32gathered again for the 2022 Paralympic Games.

00:39Our Philippine team did not miss out on the Parade of Nations

00:45led by wheelchair thrower Sandy Asusano,

00:48who served as the country's flat-bearer

00:51along with Para-taekwondo gen Alain Ganapin.

00:54At the Paralympic Games in Paris,

00:56the 2024 Organizing Committee President Tony Estangwe

01:01and the International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons

01:05gave the signal that the Paralympic Revolution

01:10is far from the horizon.

01:12Every time you competed,

01:14more people joined the party.

01:16Every time you succeeded,

01:17the intensity grew with every wow,

01:20every cry,

01:22every heart you sent racing.

01:23You changed how people see sports

01:26and how they see disability.

01:29Thanks to you,

01:31everyone has seen what an inclusive world looks like.

01:36Free from barriers,

01:37Paralympians performed to their best.

01:40Through sport, they showed what humanity can achieve

01:43when given an opportunity to succeed.

01:46You saw strength in difference.

01:49But now, it's time for you and society

01:53to make a difference.
