00:00This from the Miami Herald appreciate Dolphin Cain sending this our way,
00:02but this is from that says body cam footage led police director
00:07to reassign officer in Tyreek Hill detention.
00:12Body cameras, they write body cam footage from the roadside
00:15detention of Miami Dolphins player Tyreek Hill led to Miami
00:17to a police department director, Stephanie Daniels, to temporarily transfer
00:21one of the officers to administrative duty, she said Monday morning
00:24in a brief interview, Daniel said that she had seen a portion of the body
00:28cam footage from the officers involved in the pregame incident on Sunday
00:31when he was handcuffed and placed on the curb during a traffic stop
00:34on his way to Hard Rock Stadium.
00:35Quote, I've seen some of it, Daniel said of the footage.
00:38That is why one of the officers is placed on administrative duties.
00:42Daniels is an appointee of Miami Dade Mayor Daniela Levine.
00:45Cava has not said in public statements
00:49if there was misconduct in the detention of Hill and press statements.
00:52Hill called his detention unjustified and speculated
00:56that what would have happened to him if he wasn't a celebrity in that situation.
00:59So there we go.
01:01The body cam footage, the county's police department has declined
01:04to release the body cam footage, citing an ongoing investigation in the incident.
01:07The Miami Herald has requested body camera video
01:10from the Miami Dade police on Sunday.
01:12Notice they have said just enough to give you.
01:18To give the appearance
01:20that something is being done while nothing is being done.
01:24So which means it's going to get ugly.
01:28Jeff Darlington reported last hour, Tyreeco received two citations
01:32as a result of his traffic stop, careless driving and a seat belt violation.
01:37So there you go.
01:38So let me get this right.
01:42Careless driving.
01:43Yep.
01:44Which is not as bad as reckless.
01:46It doesn't sound as bad as reckless driving.
01:49And a seat belt violation.
01:50So at that point.
01:53They're trying to charge him with as much as they possibly can
01:56because they damn near curb stomped him.
01:58That's right. Right.
02:00Now, all I want to know is this.
02:06What is it called again?
02:09Not reckless driving, careless, careless driving.
02:13Which means it wasn't reckless.
02:16And a seat belt infraction.
02:19And I would like to know.
02:22When was the last time?
02:24Any police department handcuffed somebody
02:28and only charged them with that and put their face on the pavement?
02:33I'll wait.
02:35Because I'm going to say probably never.
02:38It sounds like minor infractions.
02:42And you got a guy on his face on the pavement.
02:47And the only thing they can say to me right now.
02:51Is he been reassigned?
02:54Which means he's still getting paid. That's right.
02:58Jeff Johnson also said Kaleas Campbell, who said after the game,
03:00police told him that they briefly placed him in handcuffs
03:03for disobeying a direct order.
03:05Oh, so listen, boy, are we going to put you in handcuffs?
03:08That's what they basically trying to say.
03:11Did not end up receiving a citation for what?
03:15What you going to give him a citation for? Being black?
03:18Because that's about what it sounds like.
03:21Y'all see, let me tell you something.
03:23And I'm going to say this.
03:24And I mean, every bit of this. Right.
03:28The next time you hear somebody complain about this,
03:31I don't want nobody to say nothing.
03:33OK, all these people out here say, well, you should do this.
03:37Well, you should do that.
03:39Kaleas Campbell got handcuffed because he wouldn't listen.
03:42That's it.
03:43A grown ass man wouldn't listen like he's a damn child.
03:50While his friend is faces on the pavement,
03:53he shouldn't have no questions.
03:56He shouldn't say nothing to authority.
03:59Nothing.
04:01You drive by and see your boy on the street like that
04:04for a speeding infraction.
04:07And you ask questions and then you get handcuffed.
04:10Does nobody not have a problem with that?
04:15I say just try being black, OK, and then get at me.
04:20Wild man. He said that way.
04:23Like I said, Braxton Berrios.
04:26Hey, guy, pay attention next time.
04:28You know, why don't you write?
04:31The Miami-Dade Police Department told Darlington this morning
04:34that it remains an internal investigation,
04:36so they cannot provide details.
04:37Of course not. Of course not.
04:39Or why he was detained face down on the ground in handcuffs.
04:42Oh, they're not going to say that because they don't have an answer.
04:44One of the officers on the scene remains on administrative duty.
04:47What does that mean today?
04:48You know what that means?
04:49You like doing a spreadsheet like, what does that mean?
04:51No, it means nothing.
04:54It just sounds good, right?
04:57It sounds good.
05:00Administrative leave means you still get your check.
05:02Go hang out at home for a couple of days.
05:04Now, I'm going to put another twist on it.
05:08Look at it from an athlete's perspective.
05:12If we get caught up in anything like that, right?
05:17Everybody want answers and responses right away.
05:19They want him suspended.
05:21They want this.
05:21They want the commissioner to do something.
05:23They want the team to do something right now.
05:24Of course.
05:26Why is this any different?
05:28When the shooting started,
05:29they wanted to do something right now.
05:30They wanted to do something right now.
05:32Why is this any different?
05:34When the shoes on the other foot, why is this any different?
05:36Why shouldn't I feel that way?
05:37When I see all these athletes before they have day-to-day in
05:40court, getting suspended for a amount of time.
05:43I will say to, you know, the media in this.
05:46It does feel like they are trying to press Miami-Dade police
05:49on this.
05:49I don't know why they can feel like that.
05:51Why should they?
05:51Why should they have to see and understand where I'm coming
05:55from?
05:56I am speaking from the standpoint of all the things that I have
06:01seen any time an athlete gets caught up in.
06:04So, yeah, you want immediate repercussions.
06:07Immediate repercussions.
06:08Yep.
06:09Everybody wants something to happen right away, right?
06:13And now.
06:15Something happened to an athlete.
06:19And no, but oh, well, we're going to listen.
06:22We're reviewing it.
06:23We put it with I and nobody has a problem with it.
06:26Well, the thing that's other crazy.
06:27It's not only that.
06:28What if he was tired?
06:29What if he wasn't tired to kill?
06:30But also like what if I were killed like if the officer
06:33kicked him?
06:33Like what if I what if I were kills like MCL got like busted
06:36in the midst of this situation?
06:38Like what if yeah, he couldn't have gone like it's pretty
06:40amazing that he was able to very easily because let me
06:43explain something to you.
06:44I know a bunch of people that got their face busted up for
06:47no reason because they had their hands behind their back
06:49and the guy clipped them and they went face first on the
06:52pavement.
06:53So what if something like that would have happened?
06:55Yeah, right?
06:56Like we know.
06:58Yeah, what would happen if he would have missed the game?
07:00Yeah.
07:02So like I would say this and I'm gonna be fair to both
07:08sides of it because guess what?
07:12I'm gonna do more than anybody would have done if it was
07:14an athlete and I'm gonna say this if Tyreek had done something.
07:22Right is if he was an aggressive if he got in his face.
07:28Right if he had done something to warrant having his face
07:35put on the pavement.
07:38I would have a different conversation and I would be honest
07:42about it and I would say hey when you in a situation like
07:46that, it's your job to get out of it.
07:48Okay, but with based on what they charged him with based
07:54on what they charged him with.
07:56I'm having a hard time seeing a man supposed to be on his
08:01face on the pavement handcuffed.
08:04I do have a statement from the police union on it.
08:09Frog boy frog boy.
08:10He's out.
08:11See you frog boy.
08:12This is from Andy Slater.
08:14He has a statement from the police union.
08:18This is what I said before the game before the Dolphins game
08:21yesterday and it occurred where Tyreek Hill was placed in
08:23handcuffs.
08:24He wasn't placed in handcuffs.
08:26Let me finish the statement before being released first to
08:29be clear at no time.
08:30Was he ever under arrest?
08:31He was briefly detained for officer safety after driving in
08:35a manner in which he was putting himself and others at great
08:38risk of danger upon being stopped.
08:41Mr.
08:41Hill was not immediately cooperative with the officers on
08:44the scene who pursuant to policy for their immediate safety
08:49placed.
08:50Mr.
08:50Hill in handcuffs.
08:51Mr.
08:52Hill still uncooperative refused to sit on the ground and was
08:54therefore redirected to the ground.
08:58One situation was sorted out within a few minutes.
09:00Mr.
09:00Hill was issued to traffic citations and was free to leave.
09:05No more again.
09:09I would like to know.
09:12What did he do that was so egregious that a guy had to karate
09:16kid him and take him to the ground.
09:18We would like to stress to the community to use this as an
09:21opportunity to remember that is always best to obey lawful
09:24police commands first and complain later.
09:26We have worked hard across the communities to bridge the gap
09:29between what people believe is law enforcement should and can
09:32do and will continue to do so in this case while we wait for
09:36the investigation to run its course based on what we know we
09:39stand with the actions of our officers but look forward to
09:41further open communication moving forward while we are
09:44confident in the actions that led to stop Mr.
09:47Hill as with any investigation.
09:49We'll wait for the facts to come out along with an explanation.
09:52Mr.
09:52Hill may have for his actions that initiate the unfortunate
09:55incident.
09:56Like you already released the facts which you say what the
09:58facts are that you kind of said that what they did was
10:04okay.
10:05That's basically what he said.
10:07Yep.
10:08I would just like to know like again.
10:11What happened to the point where you had four guys and one
10:18guy took the initiative to take him down that aggressively.
10:23Right?
10:24Yeah, like what like what like
