00:26the return of the National Irrigation Administration to the office of the President

00:31from being an attached agency to the Department of Agriculture?

00:38Well, we all know, ma'am, that food security is the priority of our President

00:45in his 8.6 Economic Agenda.

00:48This is where we can see the sincerity of our President,

00:52that this problem can really be solved

00:56because what food security really needs is irrigation.

01:00For this to be solved quickly,

01:04that's why we are here under the office of the President.

01:08This is a big thing, ma'am,

01:10because of course, in our coordination with other government agencies,

01:16such as DPWX,

01:19our President likes the water management project,

01:23flood control, water management project.

01:26This is a big thing, it will be solved quickly.

01:30Now, especially here in the Department of Agriculture,

01:34our meeting with Secretary Laurel is ongoing and weekly

01:40for the expansion of our successful contract farming.

01:46Admin Guillen, will the Executive Order No. 69 have an effect

04:12Is it true that under the EO, NAPOCOR will be removed from the board?

04:32And we will continue to support NAPOCOR, not only NAPOCOR, but also the Department of Energy,

05:24So, what are the changes that the countrymen can expect,

05:29especially in the projects and programs laid out for the coming years?

05:37Well, just like our big-ticket projects,

05:44Like for example, our big-ticket projects,

05:48when we enter NEDA,

05:50there is a clearinghouse that goes through that,

05:53here in the Department of Agriculture.

05:57So, we will be able to save a few,

05:59usually, we will be able to save about two to three months.

06:02And of course, again,

06:04when it comes to acquiring permits,

06:08in NCIP, in DENR,

06:13We will be able to do it faster.

06:15In our projects,

06:16because our leaders saw it,

06:18especially in our contract farming,

06:20we have a formula in the National Irrigation Administration

06:25that when you give us a fund,

06:28we will support it.

06:29We have three things that we want to support.

06:33This is the essence of our convergence with the DA.

06:37This is the need of the NFA.

06:41This is the Php 29 that we sold to Katiwa Centers

06:45and the Php 45 for Rice For All.

06:48We will earn there in our program.

06:59We will have extra income

07:02for our Irrigators Association.

07:24that we want to bring to our residents

07:28during the term of our President.

07:36is that our President wants to focus

07:40on the increase of our production

07:42through the transfer of our cropping calendar.

07:46We will start this October.

07:48So, our transfer to the Office of the President

07:51is really timely.

07:54We hope that by next year,

07:56we will feel the increase of our production,

07:59not only in rice, but also in corn.

08:01So, Admin, is it true that

08:04under the new EO,

08:07NIA's priorities,
