00:00Miss Cheryl E. Ralph, please come up here and join us.
00:02Cheryl E. Ralph, hello again. How are you?
00:06I'm very well, thank you. Very well, very excited, happy to be here once again.
00:11Once again? I mean, you're a regular these days.
00:14I mean, for the third year in a row, it feels like that.
00:16Goodness, so well-deserved.
00:18So I was telling him before we got started about NPTF last night
00:22and just how fun of a party it was, how good the food was,
00:25but also your speech, imploring all of these actors,
00:29all of these producers, everyone there to recognize,
00:32yeah, the strike was a while ago, but it wasn't,
00:35and we still have people feeling it.
00:37So how much time is spent, yes, on screen doing the amazing thing you do,
00:41but also working with the actors here?
00:45Community is everything.
00:46If you don't take care of the people in your community,
00:49when you need help, there might not be anybody to help you.
00:54So do all you can, and you know what they say,
00:57to whom much is given, much is expected.
01:02I'm all about using the time to make good of my time here on Earth.
01:06You sure did.
01:07Well, thank you very much.
01:08It was great hearing you.
01:09Thank you very much.
01:10Well, the Motion Picture Television Fund, I'm sure, thanks you,
01:12but so do teachers everywhere for all that Abbott does
01:15in advocating for funding and schooling
01:17and really showing people what goes into raising,
01:21not just teaching, but raising the next generation of Americans.
01:26So thank you for that as well.
01:27But I'm going to pivot that into a little bit more fun.
01:30Obviously, we are here celebrating your past season,
01:33but we've got some good stuff to look forward to.
01:35You did a lovely chat with one of the People editors earlier this week at a panel,
01:41and you were discussing an upcoming Halloween episode.
01:45Let me just say, it was hot, hot, hot.
01:48It was 107 degrees, and I was enveloped in fur.
01:53Oh my God, but it's such a funny episode.
01:57We are probably six episodes in,
02:00and I cannot tell you just how funny they are.
02:04It's our writers are amazing.
02:07And our director, producer, Randall Einhorn,
02:10who's also nominated this year,
02:12everybody just does such an incredible job on the show
02:17that I'm very happy, very happy.
02:20You are so good on this show in that you have that just built-in comedic timing,
02:25even though you play straight.
02:28Do you crack?
02:29We all do. There are sometimes moments where one of us will do something.
02:33We cannot hold it in, and we just have to let it out.
02:38And we hope that we've held it in long enough
02:41so that we don't have to redo it, you know,
02:43but very often everybody will crack up.
02:45Who cracks the most, though?
02:46Everybody. Everybody. It's crazy.
02:50I hold it in the most.
02:51Okay, there we go.
02:52That's what I thought. That's what I thought.
02:53Well, don't hold anything in tonight.
02:55Please enjoy yourself.
02:56Have a fantastic Emmys,
02:58and can't wait to see you cutting it up on a dance floor later.
03:00Oh, yeah.
03:01In my custom Versace.
03:03Ooh, with the bow.
03:05In my Cartier jewelry.
03:07Get it.
03:08And my eye candy of a husband.
03:10Where is he?
03:10Where is he?
03:12There he is.
03:14Black and blue is a big trend tonight.
03:16So you guys are in it?
03:17On trend.
03:18Yes, we are.
03:18I love it.
03:19Amazing.
03:20It's setting the tone.
03:20I love it.
