00:00In the continued strengthening of the relationship between the Philippines and Malaysia,

00:04Malaysia has invited the Philippines to participate in the biggest halal trade fair in the world.

00:10Here are some details of the upcoming event.

00:12Let's take a look.

00:15This year alone, the Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion Board launched the Halal-Friendly Philippines Campaign.

00:24This initiative aims to make the Philippines the fastest-growing and most halal-friendly hub in the Asia-Pacific region.

00:32One of their supporters and ready to help in this endeavor by our government

00:39is Malaysia, which is known as the global leader when it comes to the halal industry.

00:46Because of this, Malaysia has been inviting the Philippines every year

00:51to participate in the world's largest halal trade fair, the Malaysia International Halal Showcase or MIHAS.

00:58This is hosted by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia

01:03and organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation or MATRADE.

01:09And this year, they invited the Philippines, along with more than 500 international buyers,

01:17whether physical or virtual,

01:19to get to know the high-quality and reliable Malaysian companies when it comes to the halal industry.

01:27This is scheduled to take place from September 17 to September 20

01:32at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center.

01:36The MIHAS will showcase more than 1,500 booths with representation from 40 countries covering various sectors,

01:45including food and beverages,

01:49cosmetics and personal care,

01:51fashion and lifestyle,

01:53travel and logistics,

01:55and Islamic finance.

01:58The support of the Philippines and Malaysia to each other

02:02only shows the 60-year commitment of the two countries

02:07to further enhance their bilateral ties towards regional stability and mutual prosperity.
