00:17Angelique, 14 days after the vaccination against the African Swine Fever was administered to some pigs in Lobo, Batangas,

00:25showed an antibody based on the investigation by the Department of Agriculture.

00:33In the investigation conducted by the Department of Agriculture,

00:36of the 32 pigs vaccinated,

00:4018 were already vaccinated with 40% antibody protection against ASF.

00:47According to Agriculture Assistant Secretary Dante Palabrica,

00:51this means that the government's controlled vaccination is correct.

00:57Under the investigation of pigs in the next two weeks,

01:01it is expected that this can be done with up to 60% antibody or immuno response against ASF.

01:11It makes me more positive that this program of the government

01:19can help fight against ASF.

01:23It's only 14 days, but the mere fact that it reacted and produced antibodies,

01:31instead of zero antibodies, it means that it was effective when we vaccinated 30 pigs.

01:41Several groups of hog raisers appealed for a wide-ranging vaccination against the disease,

01:48which is an agricultural sector alliance of the Philippines

01:51that will declare a national state of emergency to allow the entry of ASF vaccine,

01:57or to fully approve the commercial use of the Avac vaccine from Vietnam.
