00:00President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. is confident in the government's efforts to address the problem of starvation in the country.
00:09That's what the President said in a sectoral meeting held in Palacio with the DSWD.
00:16According to the President, the government is on track to help those who are experiencing starvation in the country.
00:23In fact, from the previous 1 million, 300,000 families who were considered food-poor families decreased last year.
00:33This is the result of the Food Stamp Program.
00:36Because of this, the program was targeted to 300,000 household beneficiaries next year
00:44and 400,000 in 2026, which included 10 regions and 22 provinces.
00:51In the last record, more than 180,000 were verified as beneficiaries of the program.
