Bumabangon pa lang sa pagputok ng Bulkang Kanlaon noong Hunyo pero heto't apektado na naman ang mga magsasaka sa Canlaon City, Negros Oriental ng muling pag-aalburoto ng bulkan. Kaya bumalik tayo roon para maghatid ng tulong sa ilalim ng Operation Bayanihan ng GMA Kapuso Foundation.

00:00The volcanic eruption of Canlaonong, June is still rising.

00:07But now, the farmers in Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, are affected by the volcanic eruption again.

00:15That's why we came back to help under the Operation Bayanihan of the GMA Kapusa Foundation.

00:22The vegetable basket of Negros Island, Canlaong City, was destroyed.

00:29This is the main source of rain in the area and in the nearby regions.

00:34But after the volcano erupted, the farmers were able to harvest again.

00:39They were able to fill their fields with rain.

00:42Now, ma'am, there's a low rate of rain.

00:47Our vegetables were destroyed because of the eruption and the volcanic eruption.

00:52The vegetable farmers, like Roslyn, are facing a lot of problems.

00:56The vegetables that were harvested by the people of Cebuyas, can no longer be sold.

01:00It's turning yellow, ma'am.

01:02It's destroyed, ma'am.

01:05It's broken.

01:08It's no longer in good condition.

01:10It's because of the rain and the wind.

01:13It can no longer be sold because it's rotten.

01:16And because they live in a 4-kilometer dangerous zone, they were forced to flee.

01:21So now, we don't have a livelihood.

01:24If there's no help, we'll starve.

01:27Under the Operation Bayanihan of the GMA Kapusa Foundation,

01:31which is the 63rd Infantry Battalion of the Filipino Army,

01:34we went to Canlaong City to distribute food to the families who are now staying at the evacuation center.

01:41And their continued call...

01:43I hope that someone will help us so that we can have a home.

01:47Because we don't have a livelihood now.

01:51Because the crops in the fields are rotting and getting destroyed.

01:55We will also help the evacuees in the town of Castiliana.
