00:00We have a playoff rematch on today's slate with Tampa Bay and Detroit.
00:07The Lions at home host the Bucs on a climbing line, six and a half, six and a half, hit
00:13seven through that number, seven and a half.
00:15We've seen eights this morning on Detroit, a Lions team who I faded on Sunday night last
00:21week and took it on a 10 in overtime.
00:24Still a little upset about that one, but nevertheless, it's not stopped people from getting to the
00:29window again here on Detroit DRS, a playoff rematch last year's game 31 to 23 was that
00:36final score.
00:37The Lions won and advanced to the NFC championship game.
00:41What do you expect to hear a pair of one or no teams?
00:42I got to tell you, like when we talk about Babe Ruth way back in the day, like, wait
00:45a second, he had 30 home runs.
00:46The rest of the league hit three.
00:47It felt like that was what happened last week with touchdown passes, like Baker carried
00:51the NFL with four touchdown passes, looking completely competent, and I think that happens
00:55again in the dome.
00:56But here's the issue we have.
00:57You know, we say like odds in motion, Kevin, what's on the move?
01:00This is surprising because you figured this line was going to be four and a half, five
01:05and a half, get around six, okay, and that money would come back on Tampa Bay for them
01:09to actually blow through Kevin, that number six and a half to seven and a half.
01:12We're also asking ourselves on this panel going, did we miss something?
01:16Is Baker Mayfield sick?
01:17They're going to come out with a report at 1130.
01:19We're going to know what's up because the one thing we do know is Tampa Bay's defense
01:22comes in a little bit questionable.
01:24Last week, banged up on the defensive line.
01:25This week, extremely banged up in the secondary.
01:28The last thing you want to have happen to you, Joe, here when you're going to take on
01:31the Detroit Lions.
01:32So I can see why they are the favorites here, but the seven and a halves, are they baiting
01:37us just to take Detroit at this point?
01:39Because quite frankly, I don't want to lay over a touchdown this game.
01:41Me neither.
01:42And I would take the points reluctantly in regards to this matchup.
01:45Like I like Tampa Bay, I don't love it anymore in regards to seeing some eights pop up earlier
01:50this morning because I'm with Donnie as well.
01:53What don't we know in regards to this matchup?
01:55Is it perception that Detroit now is the best team in the NFC?
01:59They get to win in the cover over LA on Sunday night and now this is a team that they dominated
02:04last year?
02:05I don't know, but I would take the points still with Tampa Bay.
02:08I believe in Baker Mayfield, 289 and four touchdowns last week.
02:12Mike Evans last year in the divisional game stepped up with a huge performance as well.
02:17His number today, 68 and a half.
02:19I think he can eat in regards to that matchup.
02:21Keep an eye out for Rashad White, had a pretty good game last week in regards to the screen
02:27game.
02:28I think they utilize that as well.
02:29If we're looking Detroit though, Kev, I think it's a breakout performance in regards to
02:33Jameer Gibbs in regards to the screen game.
02:3623 and a half is his number today.
02:38I think he could get potentially 40 or 50 in that regard.
02:42Don't like his rushing as much.
02:43I look to Jameer Gibbs on the ground as well over Montgomery.
02:47Yeah, I would prefer Gibbs as well just because I think that this is a game where the line
02:51should be looking to throw the football a lot more.
02:54Vida Vea is still on the inside there.
02:56Tough injury report for Tampa Bay, which is I think the primary reason this numbers continue
03:00to shift.
03:01Most notably, their best player on defense, Antoine Winfield, will be out here.
03:05You expect deep shots for Jameson Williams and then all of a sudden, you know, here comes
03:08Amon Ross St. Brown, who is very quiet in week number one.
03:12But Amon Tampa Bay, plus seven and a half.
03:15It's funny that the eights popped.
03:17Last year in the playoff game, they trailed by 14, scored a touchdown, and go for two.
03:22Kind of the new school analytic approach, which is fun last year if you had Tampa Bay
03:28because it was six and a half.
03:29You needed that decision even if they didn't get it.
03:31That's how they lost by eight.
03:33This year, if we're looking again through a backdoor and they go for two, it could still
03:36potentially be some work to be done.
03:38But I don't think, I look at week number one, and this is a spot where I think Detroit's
03:43getting too much credit for a comeback win in overtime.
03:46And I don't think the Bucs are getting enough credit for pouring it on Washington.
03:49Look, the defense is bad, the offense is an absolute joke, but for Tampa Bay, this is
03:54a team that was in the playoffs last year, catching six and a half.
03:57I think year over year, with the continuity, Baker looks comfortable.
04:01I think this spread is disrespectful to the Bucs here.
04:05That's the sign that I'm looking at.
